"We had our master bath completely remodeled by Drexel. After the project was completed I realized that I had about 5 very nice necklaces missing (one was a long gold Tiffany with a small pendant). Honestly did not know it until after everything was done & I had signed off on the job. I know I should have reported it sooner but I honestly wondered if I had left my necklace somewhere by mistake & thought it would show up later. Then I realized that one by one I could not find the ones I wanted to wear. I know there is nothing I can do at this point but I want to warn others not to trust contractors in your home & don’t make the same mistake I did by trusting strangers in your home. I know it was the painters or the tile guys that took them. Also, they did a sloppy job of painting & they got grout in places on my new tile floor that I cannot get off now. The cabinets are very cheaply made & they had to get s replacement cabinet due to a big scratch on the very front panel of one. I expected much better quality with Drexel. So disappointed."
"Mr. Rabbit was great with carpet replacement. I guess we were not spending enough $$$$$$ with another employee to provide a quote on a kitchen remodeling. Not even a "No Thank You". Edit; Not aware that a second person was contacted. Funny, the carpet purchase and installation had no problems with my contact information. But, on a kitchen upgrade, the same info was not correct? I went to the business in person and indicated I had not received a quote and if I had missed it, please resend. Weeks later a person seemed to find our home phone number after I posted a review. Pretty sure not having my business will not hurt anyone."
"Our project started on Monday, November 15, 2021, with a phone call by the designer letting me know that they were planning to be there in thirty minutes. The project manager said that he had tried to contact us the week before, but that was not the case. We had no missed calls, voicemails or emails. This should have been the first red flag. So, an entire crew showed up to begin the demo when we hadn’t had time to clear cabinets or find a place where my dogs wouldn’t be in the way. Not the best way to start a project, but we went with it as we were excited to get started. They began by demoing the master bathroom and kitchen floor. We were left without a kitchen floor for FIFTEEN DAYS because the project manager had not communicated to the contractor that they were glue-down floors, which he doesn’t do. They ended up installing the floors the Friday after Thanksgiving – a great holiday weekend project. This was one of the many issues that arose during our project. Problems and extra expenses are expected; however, a competent project manager would have been helpful. It became an additional full-time job for me to manage the project. The project manager was not proactive, visited the house only a handful of times and never checked the contractor’s work. I was the one compiling outstanding item and issue lists. I was sending texts asking about a schedule – some days people would show up, some days they’d take a break. I don’t think it was a major ask to know who would be in and out of my house. Eventually, I started communicating directly with the contractor making me question why I was paying an outside company in the first place. I thought a project manager would help make my life easier when it ended up complicating things. Looking back, I should have gone with a local contractor; even a big box company would have been better. As I said, additional expenses were expected. But due to no one ever coming to check on supplies that were delivered or orders that were made, a lot of items were not ordered, and that in turn delayed our project and added about $4,000 in expenses. I did let our project manager know that we had some chips in the shower tile, but I guess he didn’t think that was a problem large enough to resolve. His manager hasn’t offered many resolutions outside of stepping in last minute to get a few issues fixed. To be transparent, our initial designer quit working for the company as we were finalizing designs (before we had paid for anything and scheduled the contractor). So, a new designer was brought in mid-project. She did a great job of communicating with us from beginning to end, even having to step in to solve issues that had nothing to do with her, thanks again to the lack of a project manager. Also, we had a great contractor who was very good at explaining any issues that came up and helping us to make decisions. He made sure that everything was done properly and didn’t cut corners. We are happy with the quality of the work. Any issues that we brought up were quickly addressed. We’re more than happy to work with the contractor again but will never work with Drexel again. Our bathroom floor transitions were finally installed on March 16 – four months after our project began and two and a half months after I asked about them. I thought paying a company would mean that things as straightforward as floor transitions wouldn’t slip through the cracks, especially since I’ve been asking about them for months. Save yourself some time, stress and money and find someone else for your project."
"We have used Drexel twice now. The first time was to update our kitchen. It came out beautifully! This time we are updating the master bathroom in our new house. Mariah has been so helpful and attentive. She's really easy to talk to and has given us some great suggestions so far. We look forward to the end results. This place is truly one stop shopping with flooring, fixtures, cabinets, and more."
"Drexel is the place to go. We walked in and Kelly greeted us and directed us to different places in the store and then let us look on our own. Didn't try to "sell" us anything, let us pick. She was available for questions and answers when needed. Just the right process for us. A small problem with the counter top company, not the fault of Drexel, but all worked out in the end without too much problem. Installation crew was good. Got right to the job to get it finished in one day. Had a couple door fronts with bad marks from the way the wood grain took the stain. Those were replaced without question. Minor adjustments made in a timely manner after cabinets were up and used for a few weeks. Very good customer service and experience overall."
