"We’ve had a great experience with Terry Pools. Blake and Clay on the site and Melinda in the office have been super to work with. They coordinated everything- concrete, pavers, electrical, etc. And made sure everything looked great and worked well when they finished. After exploring other pool companies we are so glad we found Terry Pools."
"We had a great experience with Terry Pools!! I knew what to expect from them every step of the way! Melinda, Blake, & Clay answered all of our questions! I was told all of my options, with pricing. I asked for a few extra item and was accommodated with everything I wanted. We could not be happier with our new pool! Memories are being made with our Grandboys, and that’s exactly what we wanted!! Thank you so much!!"
"STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! This is a POORLY-RUN family business and needs to focus on the customer rather than the matriarch that has no business in building pools. I believe there to be some issues in retaining personnel to work for them, as you won’t find anyone that has been there over a season (except the brothers). That usually indicates poor strategy or personality issues, which I have seen exhibited in more than one occasion. First, Terry Pools built a great pool for our family.. There were several modifications, but we went with it, especially given the timeline and COVID supply shortages. I was supposed to have other systems and components, but it seemed that this “successful pool builder of over 40 years” kept getting supply notifications that they couldn’t get this or that.. This was one of the first main indicators that they were not as technically sound as they claimed, and in over their heads. The main workers, Blake and Clay, part of the family business, are extremely knowledgeable and professional, but loyal to the mother. It seems as if that business is barely hanging in there, and I should’ve known better than to do business with sub-par customer service from the beginning. To be clear, WE contacted them each and every time to inquire about the pool plans, construction, status, etc. - not them contacting us to inform us of the investment we had placed in them to build. However, after the pool was finished (3 years ago) was when our mechanical issues started to arise, specifically with customer service and getting back to us. While we understand there will be issues and potentially broken items in a new pool installation, we also understand that once it is finished, we deserve to be contacted in a timely manner. We also expect to be treated fairly and not taken advantage of. Melinda, the office manager (and mother), hung up on me after trying to speak with her about the issues with the pool and regarding a warranty service - Very unprofessional. I even had to tell her to calm down. Of course the son is defending his mother’s honor (right or wrong). And at no time will they allow you to intervene with rationality and common sense about a warranty service (RMA), which in turn yields additional payout from the customer to THEM for repeated service calls and maintenance work. I’ve been cut off from any communications from them (they block me apparently) because I contacted them a few times to inquire about if they received my correspondence, each time with no response. When I finally got a response after I sent a snarky text (“high class” for not responding), one of the sons gave more excuses and in turn directed blame upon me. Their response was that they were going to get back to me next week.. Then it turned to another issue that was induced by the mother over a year ago, and now we’re here. THE ITEM THAT THEY CLAIMED TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO REPAIR IS STILL BROKEN, go figure (yet another sign that they have no business doing what they are doing). I contacted them and this will be the fourth return visit after completion of the pool. Each time is a song and dance or excuses over why they couldn’t get back to us sooner (and we’re talking about weeks/months, not days in getting back to us!). Simply over a broken item for something that Terry Pools shouldn’t have been involved with for a build that was over their head technically. I guess that’s why they aren’t a Hayward authorized warranty/service center. They simply ordered it through a pool vendor and installed it, leaving us high and dry when it failed for the second time. Sometimes it’s okay to say, “I can’t do that.” But instead, the greed/selfishness took over. Don’t believe me? Ask them why they can’t keep solid workers over a season or two.. Also ask why they are aren’t a Hayward authorized dealer/service center (and why I later found out they were trying to skirt around the warranty issue). And take a look at their social media to see how they are hawking up prices on all of their pool gear just to make ends meet.. #FoolMeOnce"
"Installed our pool and months later multiple things have broken on the pool. They came out to address the issues and charged us for items that were under warranty. Now those items they so called “repaired” are once again broken and they have left us high and dry. Terrible customer service, they are not submitting the warranty items to the manufacture but instead charging the customers and pocketing the money. Beware!!!"
"Terry Pools did a great job on our pool! From start Melinda made sure we knew about costs and options up front, and Blake is always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. Crews did a good job keeping site clean. They communicate very well. Highly recommend, will definitely call them again!"
