"My husband and I never had anything explained to us. There was no effort put forth by Dr. Davis to educate us on our pregnancy. For example, we were only herded like cattle through the office mazes to find out via an ultrasound technician our baby was not going to make it. We to this date don’t know how pregnant we were, how we lost the baby, or why a D and C was not encouraged or at least explained in more detail. Yes, we asked questions. Yes, we were naive. We were young adults, and it was our first pregnancy. I look back now and still remember my anguish as I lost the baby at home only hours after our visit. I was so dreadfully sick. Sick enough that I walked outside and upchucked so hard in the landscaping I pushed the baby out. I screamed as my husband hastily maneuvered me out of the way to pick up the baby. No one should ever have to go through this! Dr. Davis never offered to explain I could have postpartum depression which I did in a huge way. It lasted for months. We don’t really understand why this had to happen this way. We don’t know why things weren’t better explained. I did get a new doctor because I felt we were treated so unfairly."
