"Breckenridge has been a good place for me and my wife. We've been here for more than 12 years and there's a reason for that. Our apartment is roomy, it's in a convenient location and Cathy, the apartment manager, has been kind to us and become a friend. Plus, when we've needed maintenance, they have responded in a timely manner. The price of rent is reasonable, considering some of the other places around. I couldn't ask for anything more. I would recommend this place to anyone."
"This is literally a horrid apartment complex, I have trauma to this day surrounding my living situation here. This place is lead by a cult leader: Cathy Bowlen (who is the property manager). She quite literally knows everyone’s business and has an inner circle in the community that she discusses all of us with. Her entire life is engulfed by this apartment complex, I fear she had no other interests, hobbies, desires, life goals besides this complex. Day one, I get handed my keys and she walks me to my neighbors back door where she is violently banging on it to get their attention to introduce me. Absolutely insane behavior. Fast forward a month or so, an outlet in my bathroom stops working, maintenance fixes it, and leaves behind crumbs of drywall and paint all throughout my countertop for me to clean up. Also, maintenance and Cathy have a tendency to just barge into your apartment with no warning btw so if you work from home or work night shift look out for that! One time our washer was flooding the apartment below us and maintenance just busted into the apartment and started cutting holes in the walls to find the leak, when they came to fix said holes they painted our cat and showed little remorse for when it was brought to their attention! My roommate worked from home and was left terrified several times from them just walking in with no notice to do work. We had asked them to call or send an email or text or anything to tell us that they were coming and they would just never do it despite maybe a dozen pleas to do so Also, they decided to repave the parking lot in the middle of summer at the first of the month, when we were moving out in June. I had to haul my belongings to my U-Haul over 100 yards in 100° heat. It’s embarrassing as an apartment complex to where other residents are coming up to me to tell me how awful it is that I need to carry all my belongings that far just to move out. Other residents looked at this situation with such disgust, one of the pavers came up to us and offered water after observing the situation. What did Cathy offer us? The threat of a fine if we dented the pavement. This could have been avoided though since we had asked to extend our lease for 2 months, 6 months prior to our lease ending to which Cathy told us that we could. However, in the month leading up to our move out we were told that actually rent would actually be $4000 a month for each month we wanted to extend. When confronting Cathy about this she quite literally said “we will pray on this”. What are prayers going to do about computer software changing my rent from $1300 a month to $4000? (Also I see they’re charging $1550 a month for our old unit that was $1320 a month, landlords are leaches). When I moved out I had some mail come here that I needed and they were trying so hard to withhold it from me as well. The only pros about this apartment are its location and…. It’s location and maybe the pool that makes you feel like you’re in a prison yard, and maybe the “exercise” area that also makes you feel like you’re in a prison yard and the laundry room we were told that exists that doesn’t. But with so many other nicer apartment complexes in that area please avoid wasting your money, your soul, your everything in living here."
