"Maintenance is horrible. My daughter has had standing water in her kitchen for 5 days and it doesn’t seem to be a priority. This place is roach infested. I just spent Saturday cleaning out the roach infested pantry. Supposedly they treated it but must not have used any pesticides. They even have roaches in their dishwasher. Photos are after I tried to wipe it up but it’s at least an inch of standing water that just keeps growing"

"I love Crowne on Tenth Apartments! I enjoy the staff that is ready to help when needed! The amenities that are always kept clean. I have never experienced any problems while living here! I definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone who is looking to live in the city of Birmingham!"

"I have lived here for three years, and they started off very nice. When Ingrid was the manager, it was great. Now the new management seems like they don't treat you as humans, just as cash cows. The appliances are very cheap and break easily. The gate is constantly broken. A roommate before me had a dog that stained the carpets. They sent someone out to steam them but it did not remove the stains. They said they would replace them, but if they got stained after that I would have to pay for the entire carpet replacement which would be around 2,000 dollars. Before the new management was here, if I renewed my lease, my rent would stay the same- now even if I renew early it goes up! UPDATE: After being assured by two mangers, Penelope and Ashley, that I would not be charged for the stains on the carpet from a previous roommates dog, I was still charged for carpet stains. When I addressed this issue I was told they determined that some stains weren't from a dog so that's why we were charged. I'm baffled that they had the nerve to charge for any carpet stains after acknowledging they would have had to rip up the carpet regardless. I'm so disappointed in the entire way this was handled. I also never received a referral fee for advising my friends to live there, despite all the trouble over the carpet. Would not recommend if you want a reasonable portion of your deposit back."

"Very spacious and comfortable apartments. Crowne has a great community and their pool and grill out area are very well kept. The only downside for this apartment complex is the price. Other than that, I'd highly recommend living in Crowne if you have the income."

"As a two-year resident of Crowne, I have enjoyed my time here. They have great office workers, great handymen, great apartments, and great living facilities. My only qualm is the constantly increasing rent. If rent were more stable year-to-year, I would give Crowne five stars. Overall, a great experience here in Southside."
