"At first I was a little weary about renting from this property management company, however, I have had a great experience so far, maintenance is great, and value for the area is excellent. My apartment was remodelled prior to move in. I have a pet, and they make sure to contact me prior before entering the apartment which is a big positive for me."
"Very rude and unprofessional staff, especially Leslie. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she's quick to start what can't be done and like to place blame on tenants. Worst experience ever!"
"DO NOT STAY AT ANY OF THESE PROPERTIES!!! Management is completely rude unprofessional and lacks interest in any concerns of their tenants. I have been leasing an appt that I only occupy maybe one or two days a week for 5 months now. It has been Problem after problem each month. Within my first two weeks of moving I was threatened at gunpoint by a another resident telling me to get off of his property, standing in front of my apt. He refused to believe that I a black man lived in his complex. Understably this occurrence was not at the fault of property management however when brought to their attention they initially acted as if they were distraught but apparently not enough to ever follow up with me about any actions that were taken. . But my biggest frustration comes with payment system. I was told initially to submit payments online which I did and a confirmation of payment was emailed to me each time. I even opted into auto draft and received a confirmation of this. However for some reason unknow to me,each of the payments were not processed HOWEVER no notification whatsoever was ever sent when payment did not process only a confirmation of payment. So this went on for three months and I was not made aware of any missed payments until I received an eviction notice. I reached out to upper management Yauney Sikes and Leslie Price in hopes to resolve this. Both women were extremely rude, unconcerned and utterly unprofessional. I was told multiple times that is not their responsibility to contact me. Refused to give me any info to why my payment was denied, and told me that at the end of the day they were not waiving any late fees. Was even lied to by Leslie multiple times, saying that I was sent a notification of my payment not being processed. Just to be told by Yauney , her counterpart that their system did not have the capability to inform anyone when payment isnt processed only payment confirmations are sent out. Which is extremely misleading."
"I have just recently moved into the Clarimont Court Apartments. The transition has been great and the apartment is beautiful. The updated renovations are truly beautiful and spotless. Terra Ivey, the Birmingham Assistant Manager, has been a tremendous assistance to my move-in, with quick response and great follow through. She has swiftly handled any small issues for me. Potential residents do keep in mind of your placement as some studio windows are shaded and others bring in more light."
"Farris Properties is one of the most poorly managed property service agency in the Highland Park area. Being a tenant, I can firmly attest to their unprofessional behavior. The office staff is extremely disrespectful and rude including the manager in charge. Scheduled appointments are not met with. Follow up is sporadic, with no prior intimation. Maintenance are given keys to the apartment without the tenants knowledge. When confronted the office staff and manager do not consider the tenants opinion or concerns and try to dismiss the unprofessionalism as a random event. Do not recommend this property for renting."
