"please read! look, i never write reviews however i felt compelled to warn prospective renters about something you won’t experience on your initial tour of the palmer. there is an underground club (@ 1500 4th avenue south) across the street which will either keep you from going to sleep at night or wake you up early in the morning. if the expectation of peace is on your list of bare minimums for your next home, i strongly urge you consider avoiding renting an apartment at the palmer. this club hosts parties 3-4 nights/week often from 9pm-6am and if you live on the east side of the palmer you will regularly be jarred awake from within your apartment by the music coming from across the street. i routinely have to sleep in my closet with the door closed and with ear plugs so that i can get a few hours of restful, undisturbed sleep. my neighbors and i regularly complain to the police, the non-emergency department, and building management and it seems this is just an unsolvable issue that no one can (or is willing to) assist with when inevitably you experience this disturbance. otherwise, living at the palmer has been enjoyable and great. but again, if you value peace and conditions where you can sleep at night - please, i beg of you, avoid renting from the palmer."

"I truly can't say enough good things about the Palmer Parkside!! I've lived here for over a year and have experienced excellent management. The amenities are wonderful (dog spa, courtyard, sky deck, pool, club room, co-working space, gym, yoga studio, etc.) and are all kept really clean and organized. The management team is extremely kind and in the rare occasion that we've needed something fixed they have someone to our apartment within 30 min to an hour to take care of it. I have always felt that the management here truly cares about their tenants and will go above and beyond to make sure they have a good experience living here. The view from the sky deck is gorgeous and has one of the best views of downtown Birmingham. I really love being within walking distance of so many great places to eat or grab a drink with a friend. If you are looking for somewhere to live in the downtown Birmingham area I can't recommend Palmer parkside enough. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!"
