"Due to the changes in monthly rent payments increasing, it would be beneficial and give a better living experience if filled apartment’s light fixtures and cabinets were in the 2024 year to be updated to compete with other complexes that have all the same amenities, same pricing but more updated appliances."
"We did not had a good experience here. When we moved in, we had an appointment for 2:30 p.m. We didn't get our key until 6 p.m. because "they were still painting." This meant they painted mismatched paint around the trim in our primary bathroom. The apartment was not cleaned, so we had to do that ourselves. We also had to reschedule movers because our unit wasn't ready in time. "Ok," we thought. "Not a great start, but it will get better." It only got worse over time. Our washer, refrigerator, and garbage disposal were all broken and it took months to get everything fixed. We had to call multiple times over the months, and nothing was done. After nearly 10 requests, we were taken seriously, and they slowly fixed our issues (poorly, I might add). We had black mold growing in the spare bedroom closet, and took two weeks for someone to come scrap it and treat it! Are you serious?! That’s highly toxic!! They caulked over the mold in our primary bathroom, so we're constantly trying to keep that at bay. We weren’t able to use amenities due to a pipe bursting in December 2022 (moved out July 2023). No gym access, front office is in shambles and pool was always closed/not allowed to use, but the rent remained the same. There is not enough grass for the number of dogs in the complex, and people do not dispose of waste properly so you're always stepping in dog feces. The walls are absolutely paper thin, and you could constantly hear other people’s conversations, televisions, music, vacuums, etc. Never quiet here. The only silver lining is we enjoy our neighbors. The management of this apartment is the worst I've ever experienced, especially for a "luxury" complex, and I’ve lived and rented in four states. I can't believe rent is as high as it is for such a poor living experience. I have never given a poor review to an apartment complex, but I hope to warn others to go elsewhere. Putting lipstick on a pig (e.g. new paint trim, caulk over mold) doesn't mean it's not still a pig that likes to roll around in muck. One other caveat, I usually ignore extremely negative reviews about apartment complexes. It’s important to be realistic about your expectations when living in a rented unit. My God, I wish I would have listened to the negative reviews. Every single negative review is the honest to goodness truth, and honestly that’s just sad."
"Edit review for June 2023: Things are improving!!!! There is more emphasis on rule compliance by residents. There has been a push and promise that amenities will be open and functional very soon. The facilities are in progress and just waiting for completion. We still enjoy our community and are looking forward to future progress. We have now lived in our unit since 12/2022. We enjoy the community environment that we have found here. Our dog loves getting to know our neighbors and other dogs in the complex. My negative has to do with irresponsible pet parents that don't take care of their pets' excrement. I have not seen any consequences for these nasty and unsanitary practices. Some true enforcement would be appreciated. The pool needs attention and better maintenance, and the gym and meeting areas are still not available. Staff are responsive, but they don't seem to hàve any power to fix problems or pŕovide direction. They are very helpful and have very positive attitudes. Grounds keepers are less than desiralbe. This sounds very negative, but they are all fixable issues. I believe some better landscapers and pool maintenance would make a world of difference. Having the business office and restroom areas reopened would be appreciated by anyone visiting the pool area. From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings Our apartment unit has had a couple of issues but they have been handled quickly. I am thankful to have staff that listens and responds to your concerns. There are no pest problems and no signs of vermon. They are repainting buildings, cutting shrubs and cleaning areas to make the exterior nice and clean. Our neighbors have been very nice. I feel safe and have had no security concerns since moving. If you are willing to put in the work to be a good tenant and neighbor, you will enjoy getting to know your neighbors and the staff."
"I moved in a few months ago. At first, from the outside looking in, I really liked the place and neighborhood. But now that I am settled, I definitely do not. When I first moved in, my air was not working due to a supposedly Freon leak. After that was fixed by maintenance, I noticed the vents in the kitchen, master bedroom and master bathroom were not blowing out air. Maintenance said that it was basically nothing they can do because all of the air flows to the living room, which is no excuse! It has been a hot summer and my bedroom is always hot. I keep my ceiling fan on day in and day out since apparently there isn’t nothing they can do. I pay too much money to sleep in a hot room with no air circulating and I shouldn’t have to buy a portable unit out of my own money when I am paying nearly $1,700 a month!!!! And ontop of this, last night, my car was broken into and my brand new MacBook was stolen out of my backseat. This place has no surveillance and I really think it should have it! I never had neither of these issues at my last apartment complex and I paid less that $1,000 there. This place is not worth the money. I will not be renewing my lease next year."
"My family and I have lived here for almost half a year. The facilities are cared for by a crew dedicated to making these units feel loved. From the website, calls, and emails I have worked with Blade C; his level of professionalism and customer service made the application process stress free and living here a genuine pleasure. Blade is one of those rare people that I'd be more than happy to have work for me or someone I'd be just as happy to work for. The Reserve at North River started as a temporary place for my family and I, but we gladly call it home now. Thank you."
