Childrens Hospital- Russell Building

"My 12 year old had extreme pain in her abdomen so we brought her to Children’s Hospital traveling all the way from Oxford because our pediatrician here in Anniston sends all patients needing after hours care to Children’s Hospital. We’ve used this hospital / emergency room for years with excellent service. I have to give them a 1 star because the google page won’t let me go any lower. We arrive around 1:30 am , did a urine sample to test for UTI’s and didn’t get seen until 6:20 am. My daughter had to stay until 10:30. That’s 9 hours in the ER! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE !!!!! We witnessed a few people wait and wait and they finally just walked out. I am 54 years old and have been to the ER in different hospitals with different people needing to go & have NEVER waited anywhere more than 3-4 hours max. Please be warned: People are having to wait & suffer for extremely long wait times at this hospital ER now. DISSATISFIED & DISGUSTED by this horrible service from 12/28/23"

"Horrible service I was the first person in that lobby with my 3 year old son just to be sent back to the waiting area and get skipped by 3 other family that showed after. They really need to fix that because my child is just as important as the other children that showed up.."

"Not sure why it takes an hour and a half for my daughter to be seen? But people who came after us go back before us. I get they go by importance but these older kids were walking around, talking. And don’t even get me started on the arrival at 1:00 and we’re still here at 5 am. The wait times are horrendous and they need to do better."

"This hospital saved my younger brother's life 30 years ago. Today, you recieve the same level of care and compassion as you did back then. From the janitors to the doctors, everyone is very friendly and they listen to your concerns. My son has been going for specialty clinics since he was a baby. I live 2 hours away and I'm always willing to make the drive for the level of care you recieve. Thank you, Children's!"

"My niece was taking to this hospital by ambulance due to having Seizures. On arrival they were very rude and judgmental falsely amusing that she was being missed treated. They didn't want to find out any reason why she had them. Told DHR they wasn't concerned about the Seizures. So with that being said I will not return to this hospital for anything."
