"Worst customer service ever! Walked in wasn’t greeted. Sales associate was loud and FaceTiming her family members. Tried to purchase shampoo that was on sale per the sign in front of the products. And sales associate told me no. And that shampoo deal wasn’t for that product when it was. The sales associate was so nasty and talked down to me and was very racist attitude towards me. I asked why I couldn’t have that deal per the sign and she told me it’s wasn’t her problem I couldn’t get it and to call corporate and get out. I will NEVER go to this location. This worker shouldn’t be employed here. I’m sure she has had this same nasty racist attitude towards other African American customers. Management should reconsider who they have running their store."

"The owner or manager, whichever she is, is one of those people that believes old wives’ tales like “your hair gets used to shampoos and you need to switch every 6 months.” (Hint: this is to get you to buy more products.) And she’s so distrustful of her customers that she refuses to even take a debit card without an ID, which is not only a pain but inevitably you get behind someone who doesn’t know this policy and is going to argue. The staff is always haughty and never friendly. Thank goodness Ulta has opened right next door, I don’t even have to go to Merrillville anymore."

"I never knew this location existed. We went in expecting to be turning circles trying to find the correct product to color my daughters very dark/textured hair!! Nikki was amazing!! She literally walked us through every step to achieve the desired hair color❤ Her coworker too was very helpful. I am so appreciative of both for helping us! A situation that could have gone very bad was completely avoidable with thier help!! Thanks again!!!"

"Staff is so friendly, always genuinely asks if i need assistance or recommendations, it was several months in between visits and she somehow remembered me! Beyond the customer service, i can always count on Sally's having the products im looking for unlike target or Wal-Mart which is a hit or a miss."
