Pikk's Inn

"Figured we would take the gamble due to the location as most accommodations are located off the main drag. Check in was awkward AF - advertised as 3 pm, but tavern was not open until 5 pm so wandered around for two hours. Eventually got into the room - which can best be described as antique store furniture cobbled together from grandma's basement, but it was clean. Cracked, water damaged drywall above the old, lumpy hard bed added to the "character". Tavern downstairs was awesome - great food and drinks. Location was great. Given the circumstances I'd either suggest getting enough adult drinks down the gullet to be blissfully unaware of your surroundings or just stay somewhere else. Ugh."

"Awesome!! Great room. No wifi but that didn't matter to me. Only complaint was the toilet paper. Absolutely charming, clean, comfortable bed, and a cool view."

"Unique spot in the heart of Valparaiso. The building is historic, and has a bar/restaurant on the first floor with two beautiful suites on the second floor. Tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture, and a Keurig for morning coffee. The restaurant downstairs was quite good. I ate at the bar and Steve took good care of me. There were some locals just down the bar to have a lively conversation with. Food was excellent, and I even got a dessert to go for my breakfast the next morning as I had to leave quite early. Stay here - eat here - you won't regret either one!"

"It's a fairly nice place to stay. It seemed a little over priced for the accommodations. It's not the kind of place where you would spend a lot of time in your room, so I guess they are charging for the location. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I would stay there again, mostly because I don't see it as a great value for the price. However, the tavern IS a very nice place and I would definitely eat there again."

"Friendly staff, nice room. Refreshing experience from a normal hotel, would definitely recommend if traveling to Valparaiso. The food and service at the tavern downstairs was top notch also."
