"A remarkable dining experience in a small hidden gem of a restaurant. The menu changes nearly daily and includes fresh choices of meat, seafood and more. The service was outstanding. Mariah makes an excellent Old Fashioned among other craft cocktails. The dinners were delicious. It is difficult to recommend anything specific since everything was good. Save room for dessert!"
"Went there for the first time last night and loved it! The drinks and food were amazing and service was incredible. It is very quaint which gave it an intimate and cozy atmosphere. I had the mahi and my husband had ribeye and both were perfect! Also large portions which made it even better! I highly recommend The Bait Shop and we will be visiting again in the future!"

"Overnighting in the area on our way to upper MI searching the map for a place for dinner and found this gem. First of all Mariah answered the phone when I called to make a reservation and I could tell it would be a good experience. No website but the menu changes daily and posted on FB. Look at a few menus and you’ll get the idea how creative the chef is. My husband had the house bolognese which was smokey delicious. I had tempura walleye. The batter was light and crunchy and the fish fresh and light. Mariah was also our server and was so sweet and really made this an exceptional dining experience. The drink menu is amazing with quality choices and also some creative NA choices too. Don’t normally write such a long review but this place that seems unassuming from the outside is so delightful inside. Oh, and the music was super chill too!"
