"Old-time family restaurant we absolutely need to support and keep going. The food is cooked with lots of flavor and love. No one makes, fried chicken, potato salad, bean soup,.you name it, like they do. You will not be disappointed. Always five star experience for me... the food the service, and of course Athen's welcoming, warm atmosphere. I've been patronizing this restaurant for more than twenty years."
"The gyro and pita/humus appetizer were good, we were given our own personal decanters of our beverages for refills, and it wasn't busy. The waitress was very friendly. Also, very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back in the future."
"Realllllly good food. Love all the options there are to eat. Everything was delicious. The service was great. The waitress explained everything and answered all our questions. The atmosphere is warm and homey, but could use with a few updates, especially the bathroom. This is their 50th year in business and I can definitely see why. We will be back and be bringing the kiddos."
"You will feel like you stepped back in time when you enter this restaurant. The furnishings, tableware and decor all are throwbacks to the 60s or 70s. The waitress was very friendly, but she was the only one (they seem understaffed). The salad bar had a decent number of toppings, but only iceberg lettuce. The gyro sandwich was sufficient in size, but lacking in overall flavor. The iced tea was perfect, but the glasses are extra tiny (and refills are hard to get because the waitress has her hands full). There are so many tables in this restaurant which are really unnecessary (no chance they could serve that many patrons simultaneously). In general, this is a decent place for a filling meal, but a remodel and downsizing could make this a more enjoyable dining experience."
"Finally found my way to this little hidden gem. Service was quick and friendly. Started with the Greek salad, which was quite tasty. They didn't skimp on the feta, which was nice. Followed that up with humus and toasted pita. I don't know why it never occurred to me that the pita should be toasted, but I'm definitely a fan! The pastichio was pretty good. It could be considered a Greek lasagne. It came with rice and tomato sauce, which was kinda meh. Finished off with a giant piece of baklava, which tasted fine, but was a bit on the tough side. Perhaps it was left over from yesterday, or cooked just a bit too long? Overall, it was a fine meal. A bit on the pricey side, but you definitely won't leave hungry!"
