U Ride

"U-Ride Body Shop has had my car since November 6, 2022 and it’s now December 7, 2022. This business has went down since the death of “Duke” who was a great painter, beautiful person, very honorable, nice, and loyal person. I have been hitch hiking rides to work and missing work at times since last month and Shon Fluker still seems to lie about the status of my car to me and my insurance company. He has been paid over $5000 as if he’s completed the job but he still can’t seem to have the proper equipment to paint my car or in his words keep the moisture out of the building. And I just don’t understand that. He primed it for paint in November but didn’t touch it again. And I am still car-less and Christmas is in 3 weeks. I just don’t understand. I will never come or recommend this company to anyone. Even if this is your last option, do not go to this place. And last but not least, out of all the money he’s been paid. I still have to pay out of pockets expenses. I am more than disgusted right now. All I can do is keep praying that God see me through this. Although God gave me plenty of signs and I still allowed my ex to talk me into trusting this company. Please guys follow your first mind and listen to God when it comes to dealing with people. Sometimes you just gotta go the other way."

"I would first like to state that I would give less than 1 star if possible. Late 2017 I went to “U Ride Tuscaloosa”, trusting Shon Fluker with repairing damage to my rear bumper. My initial encounters with this business were fine and I was confident that the work I was promised would be done well and in an acceptable amount of time. Sadly, I was forced to leave my vehicle with them for over 3 months in which the first 3 to 6 weeks it remained untouched in the parking lot. Following multiple attempts at reaching out to them about the sensitive time table in which we had to work with them due to military relocation, work eventually began. Sadly, the job was drawn out unnecessarily, incomplete, and subpar! The rear driver side quarter panel was asymmetrically welded into place preventing the back door from closing completely, the rear brake light will not nest into place, the trunk fails to close properly, and much more. Due to these sloppy repairs my vehicle will not pass inspection! I have given the owner multiple opportunities to resolve the issue, including fixing the less than exemplary work that was performed on my vehicle. Every time I reached out to “U Ride” or Mr. Fluker my calls were avoided, redirected to someone else, or flat out ignored. Any time I returned to Tuscaloosa, I would attempt to stop by and speak with Mr. Fluker in person but would be redirected elsewhere or told he was unavailable. Eventually, I no longer wished to entertain “U Ride” and Mr. Fluker’s unprofessional demeanor and simply requested a PARTIAL refund in which to have the repair properly done. Mr. Fluker informed me that he would be willing to provide a refund for the full amount but continued to avoid and ignore any and all calls, messages, or attempt to contact him. While I understand this is a rather lengthy review , it is important to note that at the end of the day the work done on my vehicle was unacceptable. How they handled my dissatisfaction with the job done was unacceptable. The way in which I am continuously ignored and avoided to this day is unacceptable. And while it would be rather easy for Mr. Fluker to claim I am simply a distraught customer, pictures/videos are worth a thousand words."

My vehicle been there almost two months and it's still not ready, I'm scared about how the repair work is going to be when I get it back. Very disappointed, next time I will go somewhere like Pop's or Brown's.Owner keep leading you on with Lies!!!"

"This was the worst car repair experience I've ever had. Left me and my husband worse off then before we'd brought our car here. After the hack job I received from this business it'll cost almost 3x as much as I paid them to get the car re-repaired by a reputable establishment! Absolutely unacceptable, but what should I have expected from a place like this. SMH, never again."
