"Very beautiful, a little tricky to get to. You have to go all the way until the road ends. So beautiful in the winter. Great snow shoeing"
"Beautiful trails in tall forests, but still allows for cool breezes. We absolutely enjoyed our time hiking with our dog here. Peaceful, not crowded."
"An absolutely beautiful northern hemlock forest, trails are very clear and maps are located at every fork with clear direction and showing your current location. Has trail loops of all different sizes, so good for anyone looking for a nice place to hike. I would suggest having a good up-to-date map and a copilot reading the map as it can be a little difficult to find your way and the parking area is pretty small. If you have a chance, definitely go take a small (or long) hike, rain or shine."
"Hemlocks and mosquitoes. Consider DEET and protective clothing. There's a small sign at Crab Lake Rd & Van Vliet; turn on Van Vliet and go to the end (past many residences), and it's easy to see the trailhead. Trails are well blazed and actively maintained. A fairly easy hike but there are some hills. One spot on the bog loop required stepping over a little mud. The Sugarbush Trail was closed (you're asked not to hike it to prevent invasive species) so the longest loop is only about 2 miles. When we were there midday on a Wednesday there were three parties on the trails. So not empty but not crowded."
"Had never visited before despite many times coming up north! Wow beautiful woods and trails. We loved this hike so much we came twice in one trip. Would recommend"
