About the Business
City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation is a local government office located at 201 Market Avenue Southwest in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Our mission is to help create a connected and healthy community through our 75 parks and year-round recreation programs. "Thank you for the work you do! I am sitting here at Riverside Park and enjoying these fantastic new benches. They look and feel like wood but are plastic will last so much longer. Are they made of recycled materials?"
"I've been taking HIIT and yoga classes with Amy for the past several years either in studio or at Lookout Park for the free outdoor summer sessions and I can't recommend them enough! Amy is amazing and gets the entire class pumped up and coming back each week for more. I highly recommend any of the classes put on by the City of GR Parks and Rec!"
"I’ve lived in my house for a month and have already recieved two notices from publics works about yard waste(I have one of the most best kept yards on the block(subtle brag)). I have followed every rule about yard waste disposal and my bags still aren’t being picked up. They have done everything they can and then some not to pick up these bags. It’s sounding like they literally want me to weigh my yard bags. They are filled with leaves and filled to the line; stop trying to find every reason not to do your job. I get I have 25 yard bags but get real. I only have so much money and yard bags are expensive bags. It’s not my fault you guys are lazy, just pick up my bags. You can do it—I believe in you."
"The free yoga classes are amazing! I also register for Zumba classes and Strong classes through Grand Rapids Parks and Rec. So fun! Instructors are awesome. I will keep at it!!"
"I have been taking yoga classes at the Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation for more than a decade. I have also recently started taking a Zumba class. All the instructors are energetic, knowledgeable, and encouraging. The price is reasonable, and you can buy a punch card if you are planning to be out of town during the session or if you want to sample a few classes. The downtown studio space is excellent. I highly recommend the classes and the instructors."
