Portage Lakefront & Riverwalk is a popular park and tourist attraction located at 100 Riverwalk Drive in Portage, Indiana, United States. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of Lake Michigan and watch dramatic weather patterns unfold over the lake. The institution is also a great spot for birdwatching during the spring and summer months, and observing shelf ice formations along the beach in winter. The park offers easy access to the lakefront and trails that showcase dune succession. A 3,500 square foot public pavilion houses restrooms, a seasonal snack bar, and a glass-walled classroom for meetings or events. While a portion of the Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk Trail is currently closed due to erosional damage, the pier access on either side of the closure remains open. Visitors can explore nearby hiking trails and enjoy swimming and fishing opportunities.

"Funky drive to this location but this beach is nice and clean. I went in January and it was beautiful, cold but the ice scenery was beautiful. Besides the beach there are walking and biking trails."

"Bathrooms are clean and nice. This place is a hidden gem! We drive out of our way to see this area. It's so beautiful there! You can put your feet into the lake water, enjoy clean sand, relax, and just enjoy the moment. Take that extra time to find this hidden gem."
