"I have nothing but good things to say, I was approved same day and I moved in a week later. The leasing agents are cool. Savante walked my unit making sure everything was good!"
"UPDATED REVIEW: I have deleted my original review, but will put what it said after the updated one. After everything that has happened in the past few months, I’ve decided that Macomb Manor doesn’t deserve the grace of having a second star on my review. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt for a new manager coming in, but it’s been three months with no resolution and I’m extremely frustrated. Since my last review, I’ve reached out to LR management as they asked me to. Audrey, the person that I spoke to, was very nice and sympathetic to my situation and has said she’ll look into getting my maintenance requests taken care of. I haven’t heard back in about a week and a half but I’m not putting any blame on her in the situation. I received an email last night at 5:30 (Nov 10), saying that there would be 6 maintenance men on site today (Nov 11) to take care of ticket requests for residents. Which, is less than 24 hours, the minimum notice requirement for maintenance. With my many issues in the past few months I assumed I would be one of the units being taken care of, so I took off a side job to be home if maintenance came around. Still no answers to my emails to Savonte, no calls back from the office, and still have over 5 things in my apartment that need repairs. And I took the day off of a side job for absolutely nothing. ORIGINAL REVIEW: When my partner and I first moved in during February, we were really pleasantly surprised that the complex was better than expected. Gwen, the former property manager, was super personal and kind, and helped us get settled in with no issues. We had a list of the things wrong with our apartment, including the balcony being completely unusable, and within two weeks she had it completely fixed. She got back to us almost immediately, always stopped us when she saw us to say hi and ask how we were doing, and I was so happy to have found the complex because every other place we had looked at was way overpriced for what we were being offered. There were still issues with our apartment, but they were nothing compared to how Gwen was handling the situation. The new management, I have nothing good to say about so far. Back in August, there was a storm that completely flooded our second floor apartment because of the leaks in our windows (which we hadn’t known about before). My partner and I were up until almost 2a.m., and I missed a job interview because of it. Our electricity bill for the summer had also over quadrupled since the spring, something that I realized was because of the air leaks in the windows. We also noticed that the seal on our balcony door is running off and the glass feels like it will fall out of the metal frame if we open in. So almost all of my plants on the balcony have died since I can’t get to them. And I can’t enjoy my balcony at all. I’ve reached out five times now through email, called, and tried contacting the management company directly. I got a response about three weeks ago, asking what day would work to come fix the windows, and I answered immediately. No response after that. I’ve followed up earlier this week, yet again to no response. I’m completely disappointed in the lack of care Savonte, the new property manager, has shown for our apartment. Before Gwen left, I saw my partner and I living here for a few years because we knew if we had issues, they would be taken care of. Now, we can’t wait to move out. I highly recommend that anyone who’s thinking of moving here, to not do so. Their fancy “New Management” signs outside of the complex mean that you will not be taken care of, how many times you reach out. I don’t know what happened with Gwen, but I wish that I could find a way to reach out to her and thank her for all of the support that she has shown for us, during our first time renting an apartment of our own."
"I went in for some info of the property, leasing agent or manager, not sure who she was, she was on the phone and asked me to have a seat, so I did. Waited for about half hour and never came to let me know she was still busy supposedly, someone came in and had him seat at her desk so I left, never apologized as I was leaving, she just said can I help you with something? My response was no, don’t bother!! I GUESS WHO EVER SHE was KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE !! So my thing is, if they do that to customers looking for housing, how do they treat people after they move in????"
"I've been here for a month and already I love it here. The staff is extremely friendly, efficient and accommodating and I've seen that they are constantly maintaining the units here. The pool is always clean, the grass is mowed, there's plenty of parking spaces and the buildings are clean and easy to navigate. The property manager Gwen saved my butt today because I dropped a card I needed and some friendly neighbor gave it to her and she called to have me retrieve it and did so immediately, so you know she cares and so do the neighbors. All in all it feels really nice here and it's close to all sorts of businesses, and is right by the entrance to the freeway (I94) so you can get anywhere easily."
"I love the apartment! I was a little skeptical about making the move since the overall reviews were so low, but all my worries were put to rest once I contacted Macomb Manor. They're under new management, all very friendly and immensely accommodating. Things seem to have turned around so much for this place. Compared to those older reviews the unit is nice and roomy, the neighbors are quiet and respectful, I've only had one incident were I couldn't sleep because of loud nearby music, it only lasted for a minute and it was the weekend so I can't too much blame people for wanting to live a little. All in all, I wholly recommend this apartment and am very satisfied with my space, albeit, a tad empty for now."
