"If you like the sound of squirrels and rodents in your attic that wake you up constantly in the middle of the night. Move to Village Club. I've complained for 6 months and nothing. My ceiling has a leak and management doesn't care. Snow doesn't get shoveled and salt is non existent. The pool is never open and when it is its filthy and never clean. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE."
"Please avoid renting this community. I had a very bad experience. We paid the application fee and they promised to give keys in 15 days and when we went to collect them , they said the apartment is not available. They didnt even had the decency to call and inform and when we call them to follow up they straight up cut the call when they hear our names . I mean atleast own upto your mistakes. FYI : They dont even deserve one star."
"They bill you for “outstanding balances” and “fees” that materialize from thin air, you call and email them for an explanation of your bill, then they assure you to only pay the amount due minus the fees and outstanding balance, and then your account doesn’t get resolved and you get a nice little letter taped to your door. If this sounds like the kind of headache you enjoy by all means call the leasing office and rent one of their units today!"
"Please do not rent here they aren't updated and you will inherit the last tenant problems their is new management but that's every few months and the problem isn't the managers it's the owners they will not and I mean will not put money into this property shame on you city club. You have your downtown apartments so nice but the heck with Farmington hills. No new appliances ever they will promise you but It won't happen they blame the staff it's not the staff it's the owners pay who you owe so we don't have to suffer please and thank you. Also this place is to over priced fir what you get. If you're listening, this is for the owner get your Ish...Together ASAP, and maybe you could retain your tenants because it's actually a great area that's close to everything, and the apartments sizes are nice."
"Heed this warning: Do. Not. Live. Here. Tomorrow will be 100 days since I’ve moved out of this hell hole and they still refuse to return my security deposit to me. They have told me twice now that it has been sent or will be sent and they haven’t sent me anything. This is the icing on the cake. I lived there for 7 years. When I first moved in, it was a nice place to live. The residents were respectable people. Maintenance was always taken care of in a speedy amount of time. Back in 2016, it was called Village Green. Then they sold it, changed the name to Village Club, and it just went downhill from there. The clientele became trashy. My building always smelled like pot. Trash was left all over the parking lot and next to the dumpsters. Maintenance? That was a complete joke. You’d be lucky if anyone showed up. But you’d be REALLY lucky if they showed up AND did the job the right way. I had to have my washer and dryer replaced. They scraped my walls badly when they tried putting in a replacement washer and dryer that was too large for the space. They grabbed the wrong model and didn’t realize it until it was too late. If you like dust, this is the place for you. The vents in the building were never cleaned in the 7 years I lived there. If you wanted the air filter for your HVAC to be replaced, you’d have to call and beg them. The leasing office is a complete clown show. The security gate at the front entrance was broken for the longest time. I’m willing to bet that it’s still not fixed. The property manager position is a revolving door. They usually last for about 6-9 months and then they either quit or get replaced. They rarely ever answer the phone. I can’t tell you how many times I had to physically walk into the office to resolve issues I was having. You could call and call and call, but no answer. Then you’d walk into the office and they would just be sitting there. Oh. And a couple of years ago, they attempted to raise my rent by 40% out of the blue. I talked to them about it and they came down a little. But seriously… who does that?! I could go on and on about all of the nonsense that happened over the 7 years I was there, but you probably wouldn’t have the time to read it all. (Don’t get me started on the neighbor that nearly burned the building down with tiki torches on his patio.) I should’ve moved out long before it hit the 7 year mark. However, there were a number of determining factors that led me to stay. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be out of there though. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. My next stop will be small claims court if they don’t return my security deposit in full."
