"2.16.2024 (the previous review was deleted by...?!) Awful mainatance! As i mentioned in my previous review, there is a annoying noise in my apartment for weeks and the leasing office does not care about it. The manager told me that I lied. The noise has been bothering me mentally, hasn't let me sleep and rest well. Now I am under medical treatment with UMICH health centers. This is really annoying!"
"We lived at Greenbrier for 4 years from 2019. PLEASE DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS APARTMENT. Read my review if you want to know why! I did not have enough credit history back in 2019. So they got 1.5 times a month rent ($1600) for security deposit. When we wanted to vacant the unit in 2023, they deducted $1000 with different excuses. The new management is rude and called me a liar. Recently, their management became terrible. Many units don’t have heating during the winter when the temperature is below zero. When we called the maintenance to fix the heating, they first said we are lying about the situation. Next, it took a week to come to our house. We got sever cold during that week. Additionally, during the snow, they don’t clear the roads and the snow freezes in the main roads. It’s like you’re skiing! Most of the units have mouse and you can even hear them wandering and screaming in the roofs during the night! GREENBRIER is a DISASTER! Don’t even think about here."
"Fantastic apartment. 2 weeks+ no heating when Ann Arbor is -20 degree Celsius. Today there is no water. The manager got Covid now and then. No compensation at all. Thanks"
"Years ago when we first moved here the management and maintenance were amazing. The maintenance always came the same day, and the management actually seemed like they cared about their tenants. Now, this building is HORRIBLE. They don’t care about us, they don’t care about our problems. They lie to our face, the people who work in the clubhouse that answer the phones are so rude, they have a huge bee and hornet problem here, huge skunk problem it’s disgusting. They give no warning for anything. My water today has been off for 4 hours and I told them I have my baby here, we need out water to cook and clean and they don’t care. I asked for an estimated time of when the water would be back on and they act like they can’t even call maintenance to see about it. Basically just told me it’ll be on when it comes on and deal with it. I absolutely am disgusted with green brier apartments. No one should have to live like this. The place you lay your head is supposed to be peaceful not cause all this stress. Edit- a response was made to my review, and I just want to publicly note that no one reached out to us about any accommodation with our water turning off for 3 days."
"the only star is for the great location and mostly quiet community. The manage team that runs the place is literally the WORST that I have never seen. I would say even a watermelon can run the place better than current manage team. I'll put what happen in greater detail later. But now I just want to say that after me and my partner leave the place by the end of June as the lease ends. We haven't received our deposit check and it has been two months and a half (which the manager promised to be delivered before July 2023 ends). If you do want to rent the place, be aware of the fact that your deposit may NOT RETURN TO YOU. (I'll edit this comment until me and my partner receive the deposit check.) (We are consulting legal advices for what to do now if we don't receive deposit anytime soon.) (If we don't receive deposit within following two weeks. We'll take legal action and make sure that all the major rental websites or related facebook groups know that we haven't get our deposit back for nearly three months.)"
