"The leasing office may accidentally fail to notify you that maintenance will enter your unit without you present. I feel violated from this gross invasion of my privacy. I have zero faith that this will not happen again but am stuck here for another year because I signed a new lease last week. I have no idea how many times this has happened and after speaking with the leasing manager, would like to warn potential residents that if it happens to you, there’s no consolation outside of an “I’m sorry.” Maintenance has entered my unit without my permission before to complete work orders despite me specifying to not enter when I’m not present. If you enjoy the idea of having people enter your apartment when you’re not home, leave lights on, and inspect your unit without any courtesy notification, this clearly is the place to live. Editing to add: living with PTSD already makes it difficult to feel safe in my own home. This situation and lack of recourse has makes it nearly impossible."

"I applied to live here in December. Just FYI- if you're a student, they expect you to have parental assistance or additional income. The estimated COL that the financial aid office gives students is NOT sufficient proof of income. They need to be more transparent about this. Ann Arbor has a problem with housing availability and Ann Arbor Woods/Hayman properties is contributing to that crisis. The guy who works there, Justin, was not upfront about this. They were to send me a refund to my new address, which I provided to him. He did not pass that along to accounting and it was sent to the wrong address. I still have not received my check and it's been over a month and a half. This is on top of his unprofessional demeanor. When I went to see the apartment, he forgot about our appointment and was not prepared. He forgot my name multiple times. He also was patronizing during every interaction. I wish I could forget about this terrible company but I am still waiting for the refund."

"I recently moved in to a gorgeous townhome here and it is amazing! Justin is extremely helpful with my move, as I am new to the Ann Arbor area. He was very patient in explaining the leasing process and my move in was seamless. Trader’s Joes is within walking distance and the quiet is irreplaceable! Would give it 6-stars, if I could!"

"The staff here is so incredibly kind! Every morning when I walk out to my car, I am greeted by smiles and waves while walking past the leasing office. Both the office staff and handymen are 10/10!! They all work so hard to make sure everyone feels welcomed and comfortable. The apartment complex itself is perfect. So close to down town, while being just far enough out to avoid the noise of wild traffic. Whenever I have friends over, they always comment about how cheery the birds are at this complex. They are very vocal and have no issues singing their songs. I highly recommend experiencing life at Ann Arbor Woods!!"

"Roger always does an awesome job when responding to my maintenance requests. He takes care of my work orders quickly and always leaves my place as if no one were here (no dirt from shoes on the floor, or misplaced items, etc.). He's so friendly, whether it's when seeing him in the parking lot or doing actual work in my apartment. Plus, he's kind to my animals! I trust him in my apartment even when I'm not home, which I've found not to be true with maintenance workers in other apartment complexes. Both the maintenance and office staff have always been good to me."
