Brighton Cove

"first impression of the apartment complex: I was impressed. management seemed like they genuinely care about the upkeep of the area and the apartments are nice. moving in, the neighbors were pleasant and quiet. my fiancé and I have been here over a year and ultimately resigned our lease because we waited to the last minute to start looking for apartments. The apartment we wanted to move into only had one unit available and was available for move in 3 months before our lease ended, so we just decided to renew our lease. lately, I feel like the quality has been going down. there has been neighbors who have moved in recently that's making our stay here not the best. There's a neighbor who moved in below us who smoke cigarettes on a daily to the point we can smell it through our cabinets despite maintenance sealing off certain areas. I have complained to them 2x about it and their response to me is that they can't tell someone to stop smoking in their apartments despite it being a violation in the lease. there is also another group of people who moved in and smokes weed every other night (which I haven't reported because what's the point??) and literally sit in their cars late a night blasting music as if there aren't people who have kids or have work/school the next day or who just simply don't want to hear loud music being played late at night. maintenance is pretty good with completing maintenance orders. the most we have ever waited was a week tops. We wish they would invest in cameras around the complex because someone hit one of our cars and the grill is damaged and unfortunately have to pay out of pocket (we ended buying dash cams). We are looking forward to moving out due to the above issues stated and having to trail laundry up and down 3 flight of stairs. the area for the most part is good. your stay really depends on your neighbors unfortunately. would we recommend? yes, but definitely have other options as well. again, not terrible just depends on your fellow residents."

"I lived at Brighton Cove for 5 years and I have little to no complaints. The grounds and building are well maintain, staff are always helpful and the maintenance team are quick and friendly. I been very happy to call Brighton Cove for the last several year."

"Pros: -Kim! She is the hardest working maintenance person that I have ever seen! She is so friendly and goes out of her way to be kind to my dogs, too. -Pool (It's in great shape and is hardly used!) -Dog Park -Walking distance to downtown Brighton -Updated kitchen & bathroom just as beautiful in person as the pictures online! Cons: -Very few units have a washer and dryer actually inside of the unit. Though I appreciate us having laundry on site (next to the leasing office), I've had multiple pieces of clothing stolen. The washers and dryers are also very small and do not work very well. (There is a laundromat across the street, though!) -I can hear/smell everything. I've lived in 3 apartments before this one, and I've never experienced such thin walls. Whether it's a phone conversation, a sneeze, someone playing video games, music, etc. I will hear it haha that being said, it is apartment living. It is not the end of the world. Overall, I've been happy here! I just renewed my lease for another year :)"

"I have lived at Brighton Cove for 19 years. Everyone there have been so good. After retiring wanted to be closer to family. Want to thank everyone for everything they have done. Maintenance Don, Harry and Kim. You all have been awesome. This is a great community and so glad that I chose it many years ago. All the improvements have been much appreciated. "My fiancé and I moved to Brighton cove about 6 months ago and we love it! It’s walking distance to downtown and a nearby gym! Shayna the manager is absolutely amazing, she was so helpful with our move in process. The community is very friendly and always clean. The upgrades are beautiful and the laundry facility is top notch! You feel like you are at a laundromat."
