"Purchased a $6k Paxton sectional and one of the pieces has a seam that runs down the middle of the cushion. The showroom model did not have a seam on this cushion, the designer that came to our home did not disclose that the cushion will have a very visible seam running through the cushion. Thought it was a snag, called customer service who verified it was a seam. Ordered a new cover, which we have to install, and it too has a seam running through it. Have reached out to the store, no reply yet. I cannot believe any reputable furniture company would construct a cushion that has a seam running through it. We have two Alani's in the family, neither of which has a seam on this same sectional piece. This is horrible and will be a constant repair/replace over the next 10 years."
"Was just informed that they will not replace a seat cushion after five years even if they still sell the exact same chair. Apparently they make changes every 5 years and They tried to convince me that the foam will no longer fit. Make this make sense. So much for a great warranty"
"I thought that the name La-Z-Boy meant quality and customer service. Don't be fooled, it does not. We purchased a recliner and a sectional. Took over 4.5 months to receive the first partial order. The products that were delivered were damaged or incorrect, and still waiting because, not all pieces arrived. We were told that we would be kept in the loop on the status of the order. We have had to initiate status updates and that is forced. It's been 8 months and still waiting for products to be completed and repaired. Then there is quality. We have service orders which have taken over three weeks for a person to schedule to come out, still waiting. We were told that the person will then send the evaluation back to the service department to suggest how to correct the products. There have been no time lines except that quality takes time. None of the departments talk to each other and will run you around for days, weeks, months. This is ridiculous, and the regional manager has no solutions to rectify their customer service or quality issues."
"Lazy boy is now charging 39.99 to pick up your purchase at their warehouses. Please explain this to me. Why charge you to actually get the product you purchases. EVERYTHING! in my living room and dining room is Lazy Boy. Couch, dining table and chairs, rugs, end tables. This purchase took me by surprise and I went through with it but it is my last. I will never be taken advantage of again in that way. Ridiculous, how can that even be a thing? A charge to actually get what you already purchased."
"We bought two La-Z-Boy recliners last year at a cost of over $3000. One of the chairs developed a tear at a seam in the footrest. We called for service and a tech came out and did a quick repair sewing up the tear. A month later the tear opened up again and a hole developed next to the repair. We called again and explained the problem. We were told a tech could come out at a cost of $160/hr since we had just past the one year warranty period. We said that this was not a new problem but a repair of the original repair. We said there should be no charge for the service call. A few days later a tech came out and looked at the repair. Instead of acknowleding that the original repair was faulty, he proceeded to blame us for the problem. He said he could check to see how much an new footrest would cost. We told him we were not paying for anything. With that, he got up and promptly left, leaving the damaged recliner. We will have to contact La-Z-Boy corporate to see if anything can/will be done about the problem."
