"Dropped off a package for someone much earlier today in the box inside and according to tracking they haven't even scanned the package in yet. For the same price I could have used ups and they would have actually got that package moving that day. These people seem to be stealing our money, packages, and tax dollars. Would be nice if this branch could be bothered to do the bare minimum."
"Mailing a very large check I wanted to make sure it was certified or registered. Rich behind the counter wouldn't let me. Said "nope we don't do that." Told me they only certify mail that is of great value and that my check was not of great value, despite the sign on the wall saying they provide that service. Very rude man. Edit: Almost 1 year later after dealing with Rich several more times, he is rude and condescending to customers as I wait in line as well as when I ask questions. Unfortunate representation of the postal service. If I'd give less stars if possible."
"Update 10/11/2023 This is the fourth year in a row that my mail forwarding to Arizona for the winter months has failed to happen. This post office has to be the most inept post office in the country. The post master here is a complete idiot with no management skills whatsoever. The most frustrating part is I have talked directly to the postmaster at the facility and nothing happens except for my mail continuing to be delivered where it's not supposed to. This postmaster needs to be replaced. Maybe then things will change. Update 12/04/2022 After two disastrous years of mail forwarding to our winter home in Arizona another year starting off horribly. After confirming my mail forwarding with the postal system with a supplied confirmation number starting my mail forwarding as of November 28, 2022 my mail is still not being forwarded. Yesterday December 3 this post office delivered my life saving medication from the VA to my old address. I have tried to resolve this situation directly with the postmaster in Grand Haven and through a complaint with the postal service. Apparently no one can control this postmasters inability to preform his duties. I would gladly support a private postal service to replace a horribly inefficient and disastrous USPS. Update 1/7/2022 OMG I have to say that someone must have done something about this post office and the management there because believe it or not things have gotten worse. That's right "worse" after the disaster we had last winter with having our mail forwarded this year with mail being forwarded 25% of our mail is still being delivered to our mailbox while we are in Arizona. Luckily our children live close and are checking the mailbox. I am really frustrated that I have to contribute to this postmasters salary and his retirement while he is not heald responsible for the performance of his facility. Nothing but excuses for and empty promises to correct the issues. Clearly a negative 5 star rating would be a very high rating for this postoffice and its management. Update: 5/21/2021 It appears that there may be a little resentment and game playing after my post 5 days ago. We have USPS informed delivery which is email everyday telling us what will be delivered that day. In the past few days our mail carrier has driven right by our mailbox delivering nothing when informed the delivery service said we had mail coming. Not sure what we can do, but it is becoming increasingly frustrating. This post office and its postmaster needs to be severely reprimanded. The system won't allow me to give a "0" star rating or I would. My wife and I have wintered in Arizona for 7 years and had no issues with the postal service. This past year was a total disaster in regards to mail forwarding. Only some of our mail was forwarded and a lot of it was actually delivered to our mailbox. I called directly to the postmaster in Grand Haven and got nothing but excuses. Our children had to gather handfuls of mail weekly from our mailbox. We have a new mail carrier this past year because the old one retired, this new carrier apparently has no idea how to properly sort and deliver the mail and worse yet has a supervisor that doesn't care how his employees do the job they are being paid very well to do. Oh! and don't bother to file a complaint with USPS because I filed one over a month ago after taking directly with someone in Washington DC and still haven't heard back from them. Too bad there isn't post office of choice. Good luck, anything other than buying stamps at this facility could be a disaster."
"This facility has 24-hour indoor public access to PO Boxes as well as a self-service kiosk and package drop off box which also allows scanning in pre-paid mail labels and provides printed receipts as well. I wish more Post Offices were like this one."
