"I'm so devastated and have been since I was mailed a letter saying I'm being terminated because paperwork I sent in hadn't been received. For some reason, I Certified Mailed the paper in a timely manner. Now no one is answering my calls, emails, voice messaging or anything. I have children and I need help."

"I’ve been on the waiting list for a good 5 years. I finally made it to the top of the waiting list. Only for them to send me an EXPIRED housing voucher. The associate explained to me that it would not affect my voucher and that I should just sign it and NOT date it and that she’ll match it with the voucher date. I told her the voucher she sent was a year past the expiration date (7/31/2022). She then explained that she was just gonna white it out and adjust the dates and not to worry. So I did and sent the necessary documents in. The office closes at 12p so it’s only so much time to conduct business in the day. I asked when will she send the voucher with the updated dates and she kind of gave me a half answer by not being specific. My anxiety is flaring up because I have reason to believe that I am being played into a trap of being terminated before I even get to use my voucher. Should I be worried of this fraudulent activity and how can I contact a supervisor? I will update this review once I receive a reply. *Update: I did receive a call back. The representative was very nice and explained the mixup she will be sending a new packet via email."

"Got to the top of the list, I sent all paperwork in immediately. I was ecstatic. Waited over two months, then was notified they didn’t receive my paperwork. I am absolutely devastated and nobody will reply to my emails. For a person on a fixed income and desperate for assistance, there is no worse news. I am struggling to cope with this development. Update: two days after this posted I was notified the missing paperwork showed up and I am back on track. Update: it’s a broken system when a person is denied a voucher because she’s $1000/yr over the limit"
