"I just recently moved into 48West and am loving it! The community center is my favorite place to study and the gym is always clean and fairly quiet, everywhere is welcoming!! My favorite place I’ve lived in Allendale!!"
"My name is Ashley, Nicole Long, This is my story around June 2023. I was homeless living out the backseat of my car. I was working for a company called A1 Asphalt seasonal long story short I ended up quitting a job and applying for one driving a semi truck with a bed and warm Roof over my head. I applied for a place to live at 48 West, I filled out a bunch of paperwork, looked at the apartment, waiting for them to run a background check at you showing my paystub‘s. I had no idea six months later that they approved me for the apartment. I got a call six months later, saying to come pick up my keys, and I was confused because the lack and communication was poor. At this point I no longer needed the apartment because I just needed a place to get off the street as a semi truck would lack of experience. I was lucky to get on with a company For eight months I get a call from Bill Collector that I owe $7188 for an Apartment I never lived in Never picked up any keys. They basically just robbed me with a settlement of $3595 that I had to pay with my one credit card because my name was on a contract. This open up the door for them to rob me talk about being in debt homeless on the streets, living at the backseat of your car working for a living and getting ripped off again people who have no compassion or no consideration or moral compass for people that come to them in need I’m in a semi truck and won’t be occupying an apartment they could’ve just terminated my contract or I had no idea that I was signed up contract. I thought I was just signing papers and I was charged with no keys on the property or live in apartment. Don’t be a victim like I was if you’re considering a place to live reside 48 West, now I’m stuck paying off a credit card debt because they just got a $3595 after they sold my debt to their collector what a rip off this place should be shut down. Maybe they charge me because they’re behind on their own mortgage."
"I enjoyed my time here at 48, the only reason I didn’t renew a lease this year is due to our need for a 3 bedroom apt next year. Maintenance was very quick to respond after the first month of the year. The pool is great and the 24hr gym has everything I need. The hot tub hasn’t worked properly since I moved in, which is my biggest complaint. Free food Fridays are fun to look out for on their Instagram page so make sure to grab some free stuff at the leasing office or in the commons building :) the apartment itself is clean, the balcony is HUGE, and comes with plenty of furniture."
"I did not mind my time here! It was a bit expensive for the state of the townhome compared to other places. Maintenance was pretty good, sometimes they took a while and sometimes the issue wasn’t completely fixed. The rooms were a pretty good size. The gym was a highlight for sure and usually wasn’t too busy. Overall, my experiences with staff were nice and there were lots of food giveaways that added to the college feel."
"The one bedrooms are amazing! Great size and quiet! Plus the amenities are really nice. The townhouses (4bedrooms) are nice but some of the bedrooms are a little small, plus the thermostat isn’t the best (it keeps running out of batteries). Lastly, it can be kind of loud living in the townhouses with the neighbors at times and the roommate pairing doesn’t work well."
