Reviews of Sleep Inn & Suites
"As soon as you step in there is an awful mildew smell. It's as if you can even taste it, literally. Each time i left I still smelt it on me like it soaked into me and I could still taste this afwul smell in the back of my throat for hours. I assume they must be treating the air with something or cleaning with something and they need to stop!"
"Staff was very friendly through out my whole stay. Hotel and rooms were clean. Great location. Typical breakfast. The only bad thing was the mattress, very uncomfortable."
"Worst phone service when booking a room, tried to say they had no availabilities but then gave me a price, and when I reminded them there was a blocked out rate they tried to tell me their manager would help me AFTER the rate expired. However, in person the desk service was good and the room itself was in good condition. Would not come back specifically due to the issues with calling, though."
"Great value, and the staff are AMAZING. I had booked the wrong month and showed up blissfully ignorant that I had no reservation. Jamie, Assistant Manager, saved me from sleeping in my car by finding one room left for the weekend. She was able to qualify me for a good rate as well. She really went above and beyond, and saved my weekend! The location is good, set well back from the busy road. The room is clean and comfy. But really the staff is the best!"
"This was the last hotel for my family's recent vacation(and third of three Choice Hotels properties at which we stayed) on a tour of Cedar Fair parks across a few eastern states. The exterior of the hotel is welcoming, but its interior needs some brightening up, and I noticed that it was in need of a bit of repair, or was in the middle of a repair for a leak, in the top-floor stairwell (one likely to be frequently used by guests, as it is only a three-floor hotel). Our room (a two-bed with a two-piece washroom - toilet and shower) was technically spacious enough for a family of three or four, but is probably better suited to a maximum of three (as we were). It was suitably modern, though, again, felt a bit dark. The washroom's pocket door worked just fine, and I was pleasantly surprised to see our toilet had a quiet-close lid (that might seem silly, but it's a nice small touch). The plastic shell shower stall was a real surprise in the room, though, as it didn't just have good water pressure (and a variety of settings), but was far more spacious than I expected. From the exterior, it looks like a typical square shower stall, but, upon entering it, it turns out that it's double the size, curving with the wall on the other side. Though the rooms were dark, the staff were anything but. All three of the front desk staff I met over our two nights were super-friendly, and always had a smile to share. They also went the extra mile to find us freezer space in their kitchen's freezer, upon our realization that our room fridge didn't have one. They were also kind enough to let someone in our family who arrived late to breakfast restart the waffle maker while everything was being put away. If the prices we paid are typical, I'd say you're definitely getting what you paid for in terms of the room, and then some from the staff. If they manage to brighten up the place a little bit, so it doesn't feel as dark, it'll be as warm and welcoming as its staff! Note: I gave the location 3 stars because it feels so far from everything. But EVERYTHING in that area felt far away, including the Cedar Fair parks we visited, which was 40 minutes away (this was the closest reasonably-priced area we found)."
