"Good selection of firearms and friendly people. I live 30 minutes across the state line and there's been numerous times I've showed up and they're closed when they're website says they should be open , I'll call beforehand and no one answers.Would be nice if you'd give your customers a heads up via your Facebook page if there's going to be an unexpected closing on a certain day."

"Purchased my first firearm from here and couldn’t have been happier at the time as the employees are quite knowledgeable. Steven is certainly the employee to ask for when purchasing, as he’s the most personable in the family. After acquiring some knowledge and experience though I’ve come to realize this store believes they’re better than the rest in the area. Certain things they do have better deals on, but they love to bash businesses such as Midwest for their “high prices.“ Some firearms may be more expensive there, but they also have 5 times the employees working, 10 times the space and a much larger selection. There’s much more overhead than a family business, so it is warranted for businesses like Midwest to have higher prices. Yet, more often than not they have better deals than The Firing Pin due to how much volume they’re able to purchase and keep in stock. I’ve purchased multiple firearms I could’ve gotten cheaper at Midwest or even a big box store such as Rural King, but I like to shop around and support local shops if I can and their criticism for their competitors isn’t accurate. Selling a firearm is never a pleasant experience, but sometimes necessary and they don’t make it easy slapping you in the face the same as their competitors do. I did my research before I went in and the lowball offer isn’t what determined whether or not I sold, but the lies of saying the scope was discontinued and no longer available for purchase is what made me walk away. Yet, I can still order the gun and or the scope the same day I walked in so why lie…they lost my respect and service after spending thousands in their store. As well, their hours for service is often an inconvenience that leaves myself and many customers taking business elsewhere. It may say they’re open online or based off their listed business hours, but you’ll often find a sign on the door stating they’re closed for the day, often multiple days. They clearly make plenty of money to not be open as their listed business hours, so my business as well as yours doesn’t matter. I encourage you to do your research and shop around as their opinions and prices aren’t always accurate."

"Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff. Small little shop, but very good selection of new and used pistols and rifles. I would definitely buy something from them again. Support your local businesses like this one."
