"Privately owned, old-fashioned hardware store with helpful and knowledgeable employees. Walking in will take you back in time! Employees usually greet you as you come in, and ask if you'd like help. Propane fill available in season outside the west end of building. Ring buzzer for service; don't bring your cylinder inside. Propane is sold by the *pound*: that gas grill cylinder that you think of as 20 gallons, is actually 20 pounds. Many small hardware items available by the piece in bulk bins without packaging; pick your own and use the poly bags provided, or ask for help. Packaged items usually are in short supply. Does not follow corporate sales even though it bears the Ace name. Worth stopping in!"

"Worst customer service! We were hoping to like this place since we love supporting mom and pop places but we called and asked the price for a propane tank refill, they gave us a price per gallon. Got there, filled our tanks, paid and left. Realized they WAY overcharged us so we called in the morning and they said no they gave a price for weight. No one does that, it’s per gallon. They refuse to take responsibility for the overcharge which is DOUBLE the price that anywhere else charges. $100 to fill 3 tanks and one was still probably half full. Usually it’s $60 to fill all 3 at Uhaul. Will never shop here again, can’t stand places that have awful customer service and deceive their customers to make a buck."
