"Beautiful sunsets over the water! Plenty of close parking on a Saturday night. Lots of wildlife- geese, ducks, & squirrels. Dogs allowed."

"Very clean, gorgeous park with lots of huge trees, shade and well maintained landscape. Great playground for kids and lots of free public parking. A great spot 4 minutes (driving) from the downtown strip of Holland to catch the sunset over the lake and trees. There’s also free concerts every Tuesday at 7:30 pm during the summer months in the bandshell/pavilion. Lots of benches and tables to enjoy too!"

"My husband and I had dinner at Boatwerks and then took a long walk all around Kollen Park. It was absolutely glorious since the temps were in the high 60s. We watched the sun start to set, watched people fish and enjoyed all of the wildlife around us. We saw swans, mallards, and cute little fish popping out to eat the surface bugs at dusk. This is a part of my husband’s childhood so I really enjoyed hearing the stories and walking alongside him as he pointed out all of the local spots worth noting. A wonderful, beautiful evening."

"This has become a great park during my lifetime. Lots of playground equipment for the kids to use and adjcent picnic shelters, expansive lawn with plenty of room to run and fly a kite, wide boardwalk for fishing and strolling, the outdoor band shell for performances and worship services, and on-site seasonal restrooms at the top of the hill. Definitely needs more drinking fountains throughout the park and the pair that exists now is easily overwhelmed or disabled due to basin clogs or valve failures. Thanks and God bless."

"Nice park situated right along the water and just a few blocks from downtown. Tons of parking, with much of the lot being shaded. The playground is pretty big, with plenty of activities to keep the kids happy and enough seating around for adults to take a break. The walking paths along the water are nice as well."
