Symposia Detroit

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Symposia, the restaurant located within the hotel in Detroit, Michigan. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of refinement, ambience, and intimacy. The delightful older gentleman who greeted us at the door and escorted us to our table set the tone for the evening, and our waiter, Michael, provided impeccable service throughout the meal. Despite being a party of eight, the restaurant managed to create an intimate dining experience for us on my birthday, for which I am truly grateful. We had the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes from the menu, including calamari, Spanish octopus, tenderloin vol au vent, Scottish salmon, prime fillet, prime New York strip, and Australian lamb chops, along with sides of garlic Yukon mashed potatoes and shaved Brussels sprouts. Every dish was absolutely delicious and executed to perfection. The fact that the food still tasted incredible when enjoyed in the middle of the night speaks volumes about its quality. While Symposia is an intimate spot ideal for parties of 2 to 4, they do have a table available for larger parties of up to eight. Additionally, the restaurant offers valet parking paid for by the establishment, adding to the overall convenience of the dining experience. Overall, Symposia exceeded my expectations in every aspect, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a five-star dining experience."

"Fine dining in Detroit at it's finest!! From start to finish. To start, we had the roasted beet and Spanish octopus. The octopus was the best I have ever had. The beet was perfectly roasted and had some whipped feta with it, that complimented the beet extremely well. My wife had the branzino which was masterfully grilled and deboned. The salsa that came with it was an excellent pair to the fish as well. I got the short rib as our server had recommended it, and while they had given me a steak knife, the only time I used it was to cut my asparagus. Cocktails were excellently crafted and mixed. We are so glad that we chose Symposia for our last meal of 2023, and we will definitely be back!"

"Very nice staff! The drinks were really good and they had a couple holiday drinks as well. The complimentary bread is also really good, the calamari was my favorite appetizer! The roasted potatoes are good as well, we just were not a fan of the spinach dip."

"We did the "Let's do dinner Detroit" this past week. It was a wonderful experience. We were welcomed to the restaurant by Angie, the front hostess. She was delightful. We all chose the beef short ribs. They were melt in your month tender. The chocolate dessert was delicious. The service was great and the pace of the food served was perfect. It was a great night."
