"Got a call from this clinic becoz a 400$ unpaid bill yesterday. Need to say something. I Went this clinic 3years ago becoz of allergy breakout basically I had swollen face& barely can open my eyes, red burning & itch. Of course before appointment I gave them my insurance detail, during the visit a nurse did skin test on my forearm after 10mins waiting for the results I’d been told by doctor I am allergic to cat,dog,mite,different trees&pollen, she recommended injection treatment. Then showed me a 10mins video of allergy free living style. Of course I didn’t buying their treatment . I went to chicago Illinois allergy & asthma, they took 8tubes of my blood and did a full lab test on me. Figured I don’t have major allergies To regular staff then they refer me to patch test on chemical contact. In the end I figured I am intolerant to retinol it’s my skincare cream caused all the issues. After a month of my visit Grand Rapids allergy send me a bill of 400$. I have 3 major complaints here need to give public. 1 , GR allergy obviously fail in professional side. They misdiagnosed my symptoms, I don’t know how they measure your allergy reaction level, by look at different shades of redness on your skin? 2, Fail in conduct by reckless charging to patient. U never told me my insurance company is not accepting in your clinic, if u accepted my plan u never gave me a good faith estimate. All above is patient’s right to know. I have BCBS ppo,all my lab test in Illinois allergy& asthma are fully covered by my plan, so let me ask have u got money from my insurance company? What is the marketing price of skin test u did on me? Do u offer different price to the patient they have no insurance at all? Is this a fraud? 3, Fail in telling story! The injection treatment this clinic promote base on one fundamental principle that is accurately located patient’s allergy source. By the application they performed on me the accuracy is zero. How this injection could work if they don’t 100% sure about your allergens?"

"I come here under Dr. Gell (only met her once, but she is super nice and informative). I mainly see her NP Sarah V. Such a wonderful provider - listens to all my concerns and questions no matter how silly they seem. She has helped me immensely in terms of getting a better quality of life. Mary NP is also wonderful. Nurses and desk staff are kind and helpful."

"Dr. Uekert was absolutely amazing! She was the first doctor in a very long time that I feel truly listened and validated my concerns. I suffer from chronic hives and swelling. I first had them from ages 9-13. They just re-activated in January of this year at age 26. When I was younger, they did an allergy test that turned up nothing and they diagnosed me with the chronic idiopathic urticaria and angioedema. I was sure she’d want to put me through another test just to “make sure” nothing has changed, but she actually LISTENED when I told her there were no real triggers or patterns to the hives. I could tell within the first 5 minutes of our conversation that she was much more concerned with getting me effective treatment immediately over running tests to validate what I was already telling her. The office and clinical staff were incredible as well. They did everything they could to get me treatment the same day as my first visit. They answered all of my questions. As I said, it’s the first time in a very long time that I felt truly HEARD as a patient, and that the doctor truly cared about my care vs. finding ways to make money. I honestly could cry with how grateful I am. I’ve been running on about 3-4 hours of sleep per night for the last 2 weeks because of a particularly bad flare up. During the few hours I do sleep, I’ve had dreams about itching and woken up scratching vigorously. I’ve had panic attacks because my skin feels like it’s crawling and I can’t escape the itching, discomfort, and pain. I have scratches and scabs all over from how much scratching I’ve been doing. I know it’s just my first visit, but to feel validated in my concerns and have someone who truly cares to make me comfortable in my own skin again is such a blessing and relief. I feel like I actually have a chance of fighting these this time vs. sitting with them for another 4 years."

I left feeling very confident about my next steps. Definitely recommend GRA! And, I didn't even mind going in after they got back from lunch. After all, it's not about them scheduling around me, it's about me scheduling around them and working with their hours!"
