"I normally love this office, but our last experience was not one I'd like to repeat. My son who is 7 was having a wellchild exam. Everything was going well until the doctor had him laying on the table and without any sort of warning, pulled at his pants and looked at his privates. I understand this Is a doctors office and things like this happen, but my son was extremely uncomfortable about it. There should have been proper explanation as to why she needed to see his privates and permission granted from the patient. As a medical professional myself, I always do this for my patients, no matter their age (unless an infant) We should be teaching children the proper and respectful way of doing uncomfortable things when it comes to their bodies and encourage autonomy in every situation. Especially with the epidemic of child abuse and trafficking that we have today. I hope this review will start some changes."
