"If I could put negative star I would !! I had the unfortunate experience of working with Counsling and Associates I was assigned to Luara large who displayed a shocking level of incompetence, insensitivity and disrespect. I’m a grieving mother and she even put my late son down “he didn’t listen to you” that really shattered my heart but I thought maybe it was a mistake and she forgot that my son is no longer here . From the moment I walked into the office, it was clear that this therapist had no regard for my feelings or well-being. She consistently interrupted me, raised her voice tone dismiss my concerns, and made me feel like my problems were insignificant. It was as if she were just going through the motions without any genuine care or empathy. When I come in for the “sessions “she would just stairs at me waiting for me start talking I felt like my life was a soap opera and she was eager to know what happen next absolutely no advise or counseling . I was also going through some legal issues and when I requested my reports or therapy session she refused to give it to me and when I had my attorney intervene to get me the documents there was none just dates that I was meeting with her . I even spoke to the supervisor and she wasn’t even helpful. There was no plan no reports no notes except one piece of paper of my own history that I give on the first intake 7-8 sessions absolutely gained nothing from this place . I sent a lengthy email requesting to discontinue therapy not any of the managers or the supervisors tried to even ask me why I’m leaving or what were the issues and if there was anything that they could do to make my therapy better.The behavior is completely unacceptable in a therapeutic setting, and I would strongly advise against seeking help from this place ."

"I was sent to Linda Friedman after a simple driving with cannabis in my system. I am a medical marijuana patient that uses cannabis for my epilepsy, and instead of trying to help me understand the situation better. Linda made it her personal mission to make me out to be a drug dealer & user just scamming the system. Linda is unprofessional and extremely rude."

"Front desk person is terrible! Treat patients suffering from mental illness poorly! I called because I received a threatening bill claiming to report nonpayment to credit agency. I spoke with insurance and it was coinsurance issue that was resolved. I requested for claims to be resubmitted to insurance but Bonnie rudely said she wouldn't because they don't make mistakes. A few days later I called bc Walgreens told me that my Wellbuterin could not be refilled because they could not contact the doctor. Bonnie told me that I had to wait until the next day before she would let the doctor know that I needed a refill. When I asked her why she was giving me a difficult time with both the claim and my medication, she told me that she was not a doctor or a biller and accused me of wanting a controlled substance -- which Wellbuterin is not a controlled substance. Bonnie has said very rude and insulting comments to me. She is the wrong person to communicate with people who suffer from mental illness."

"I was referred to this place by someone who was very dear to me professionally and educationally, but unfortunately I have had more than one negative experience with this place. The first therapist I was referred to forgot our initial appointment... not a great impression. I thought I’d give them a second chance and was referred to Bob for my son. Not only was he totally ineffective as a therapist and was totally unsuccessful in building rapport with my son and family but beyond that the billing practices were totally questionable. How insulting, as I’m actually an MSW. I was fully covered by insurance and paid all copays yet every time we’re being accused of owing money. On our last appointment a paid a questionable three copays and then received a bill for $130 from an appointment that never occurred! They then sent the account into collections on a totally fraudulent bill and won’t even respond to my inquiries. Not only was it a negative experience but if this is not resolved I will reporting insurance fraud to the state!"

"My father had been to the Alcohol meeting with Linda one night. She asked him to bring a family member for support on the second day. I went to support my Dad in the Friday 10:30a group, which ended up with her emotionally bullying me after talking to me for 3 minutes, and picking everyone in the room to have their chance to take a turn agreeing with her. I think she is unfit to be doing her job, and has no sensitivity for others. I blatantly told her that I was uncomfortable, which only encouraged her to have the room gang up on me. She went around the room and individually asked people to tell me what they thought of me. I was just there to be emotional support for my Dad, who is only a week and a half into recovery. She knew nothing about me. It was a horrible experience and it took every bit of self control I had to contain myself and not be disrespectful. My Dad didn’t have the opportunity to do the healing that he went there to achieve because she was too busy picking on others. Neither one of us are ever going back to her."
