"This is from the husband’s perspective: Dr. Grey is one of the finest and most compassionate people if had the pleasure of meeting. My wife had to have a fibroid removed that was attached to the uterus, the plan was to use robotics to perform a hysterectomy and remove the mass but the uterus / mass was much larger than expected and required more invasive surgery. When I was paged in to see Dr. Grey I was very concerned as it was way too early in the procedure. She comforted and reassured me that everything would be fine. She explained what had happened and what needed to be done. During the after-surgery meeting she continued to reassure me that my wife of 35 years would be fine. Even knowing this I have finally hit an emotional wall and broken down, Dr. Grey’s compassion switch from my caring for my wife to me. She did not leave my side until I was ready.
