"I’ve always stayed at this hotel for the past 5 or 6 years and had no issues. Over the past couple of months I believe we’ve had more issues than ever. Me and my family have been accused of smoking THC for the second time and it’s untrue. I feel like we are be targeted because we are black! My son works for Marriott and knows the rules and what the expectations are."

"Stayed here recently with a large block of rooms. Our rate was roughly $40-50 more for our "group rate" than somebody could book online or walk in and pay. We were told our rate included breakfast but the breakfast wasn't worth $1.00 absolutely awful food and a not so friendly wait staff."

"Stayed here after a Notre Dame game, booked through the airline. No problem - great location. Arrive check in , friendly staff. The room however it was not clean. Stuff on floor as if it wasn’t vacuumed including pills , and the fridge was full of the last guests food and booze . Went downstairs to tell them I get “ oh I’m so sorry she probably forgot to clean the fridge “ “‘if you really want we can move rooms “ it’s midnight and I’ve been awake for almost 18 hours . I slept on top of the bed thankfully I didn’t wake up with bites. Wake up next morning go to shower only to find a dirty razor and hair etc in the shower - definitely wasn’t clean . Informed downstairs when checking out and I get “ why didn’t you tell us we would’ve fixed it ? “ Hmmmm I did last night and I am this morning as I’m leaving. I paid almost $300 for one night assuming it would be clean. Thought wrong. Do better"

"It's a Courtyard Marriot, there is nothing else to say... The good thing is that the property is brand new, and everything is updated. The bad is that they are either so understaffed that they can't accomplish the most basic stuff, or they are just not trained. We paid for our reservation through Expedia and paid in full, including breakfast. However, they charged my card for the cost of the room again and a separate charge for incidentals. I questioned them vehemently about why they did it and to have it reversed, but they couldn't. It fell off a few days later with the incidentals... The breakfast was so messed up. We were there for a swim meet, and they just seemed overwhelmed. Yes, I understand that many children between 10 and 17+ can be challenging in a hotel, but that is what hospitality is supposed to be about... You roll with the punches and keep going. If we come to Elkhart for another meet, chances are I will spend a bit more and stay a little closer to the swim center. The downtown of Elkhart is cute and has some cool options for dining and other stuff."

"The bed sheets hadn’t been changed from the last guest. I found nail clippings and hair between the sheets so I slept on top of the blanket. Was too tired to switch rooms as I arrived after midnight. Water pressure in the shower and sink is very weak. Staff is friendly and location is good but I need a clean bed and a better shower."
