"If you're looking for unique accommodations with much charm and history, check out Big Red, the restored 1893 railroad caboose. Had a great time in this cozy car with all the modern amenities. Our first B&B experience, and Mike and Pat could not have been more friendly, welcoming hosts. Filled us in on lots of railroad history and provided valuable area recommendations. Main house is warm and cozy. Hardy homemade breakfasts, delicious baked goods and excellent fresh ground coffee each morning combined with lots of interesting conversation. Just don't go to a late-night concert and unknowingly sleep in for breakfast, or you may get a knock on your caboose door ;) Overall, a clean, cozy and fun caboose stay in a lovely wooded setting with water views. We recommend the caboose at Whisper Ridge B&B to all looking for a fun getaway."

"We stayed in the caboose: a real caboose and section of railroad track transported into the woods, and remodeled with a kitchenette and bathroom and bunk beds. It is full of train memorabilia, and there is a photo album that shows its history and transformation. The hosts are very kind and interesting and the breakfasts are excellent."

"Pat and Michael are a very sweet couple. Very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and attractions. We stayed in the Franklin suite and couldn't have walked in a better rustic, but yet relaxing place. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for anyone that wants to get away for the weekend. The views are also very beautiful."
