"Great venue, a bit dated but theater workers were outstanding and the place was clean and organized very well. Definitely enjoyed the old school vibe. Recommend visiting!"
"Great time watching Brad Williams. Definitely a great time. Seats are a bit small. I'm a 2X 6ft tall person with long legs and my knees were in the chair ahead. Bathrooms small, only 4 of them, so go before you get there, especially if you can't do stairs. But show was great. Definitely would go again. Sound was great. You could see the stage very well. No major company's other than it was difficult on my knees to sit there."
"Ryan Adams put on an incredible and very intimate concert. I loved every minute of it and have total respect for him. The Barrymore is a great venue and I look forward to more events there."
"The Barrymore theater is such a architectural treasure! This isn’t some sterile modern theater, it is a work of art! Eclectic art to be sure, but an experience not to be missed! We came to see comedian Tom Papa…his show was wonderful! The small size of the total theater made it feel close and personal. I love the art deco looks, the funky artwork in the lobby, and the starry night sky ceiling. It’s is just a romantic notion of a building! My only complaint would be that the bathrooms are undersized and the floor is really cold in the winter…wear super warm shoes and Sox if it’s winter!"
"The experience was ok! I was not impressed by the staff's friendliness but at least the theater was clean and warm. Kinda creepy and small in the basement to use the bathroom but every old theater in Madison is the same way. Use the bathroom before intermission!"
