"I was happy with Joel as my agent at first. However it has taken me a while to realize he is not truthful with details within coverage and costs. He will tell you one thing, and in reality it's not true. Do not trust him for what he says, I now owe way more than I initially thought due to him being misleading I admit poor judgement on my part for trusting him. Also what is the point of having an insurance agent that not only never answers your calls, but now refuses to respond in any way. I will be using a different agent while looking into other insurance companies. Very irritated and let down."

"Joel Christner is not a good or honest person. He tricked me and left me high and dry. Told me I had insurance and everything was fine when in fact the policy was cancelled without my knowledge. Canceled after 2 months when I had paid the policy in full for the year. My family has used Joel for a couple years for our auto policies etc. and I have a commercial building I told him I needed insurance on to which he said no problem. I filled out the paperwork he sent me and paid my policy in full for the year and he informed me I was all set. 3 months later a wind storm ruins our roof and sends tons of water into my building. I call Joel to file a claim and begin the process with the insurance and he tells me to go ahead and get started on fixing the building because the insurance will reimburse for any work you do and that it was all covered. Long story short after the adjuster comes out and everything was agreed upon the Insurance company that he farmed the policy out to without telling me calls me and tells me my policy was CANCELED 2 months earlier. He never and no one else ever reached out to tell me my policy was canceled which is illegal and my claim was not going to be reimbursed. Now I have a bad roof on my building, an unpaid contractor, and violations from the city all because of these bad decisions Joel decided to make on his own. The worst part is Joel's solution to all of this was to stop returning my phone calls and completely remove himself from the situation that he caused. Now 3 months later hes still never reached out and never apologized for what he did and the only communication I've had with Farmer's insurance who he works for is some lady who called on his behalf and told me that none of this was his fault and that I should've understood better what he was doing and that it's the fault of the company he used for the policy. The only person I'd ever spoken to for all of this was Joel, no one else just Joel so I have a problem blaming anyone else, but Joel. He picked the insurance company he had a company write the policy and he used another company to back the policy all without explaining any of this to me. Then when the insurance was canceled he never informed me and blamed the company that he personally chose saying it was all there fault and he was innocent (suggested a simple paperwork problem and that everything was fine). I've never been so disappointed in a human being in my life and he left me with a massive mess that I don't know how to fix. Be careful with this person he'll be nice on the phone and then when he screws something up he'll leave you high and dry and never return a phone call again. Still haven't heard from him 3 months later and we have at least 5 other policies with him. Very unprofessional will be canceling all policies from Joel and Farmers. Beware."
