Baymont by Wyndham St. Ignace Lakefront

"Initially called to ask about rooms available and was told to call back 30 minutes later for a quote. Should've been a red flag right there but against my better judgement I booked online. Check in was fine, the same gentleman that told me to call back in 30 minutes was there to check us in immediately within 10 minutes after making the call, so I have no idea why he asked us to wait to call again. The room was good, bed was comfy, view was very nice. However my big mistake was assuming that this hotel like many others would have 24 hour staff on site. I was wrong. Upon waking up to go eat breakfast at 6:45 AM the doors were locked telling us the building is closed until 6 am. The staff and service here is unbelievably poor and it makes me wish I'd gone with the holiday inn down the road."

"The front desk lady who checked us in was incredibly kind and very helpful. The guys who checked us out were very nice too. I loved the whole place! From the comfy beds, to the breakfast, to the corn hole games, to the amazing view out the back from our patio to see the sunrise! I would definitely stay here again!"

"The location and the surrendering views are great; no questions about it. However, the building is old and one can see the wall and Conor's have damaging signs. But love the Dove soaps and shampoo, and soft towels. The complementary breakfast isn't great: got waffle machine but no other fresh items ( frozen items to microwave for breakfast), not flavorful coffee ( worse than usual hotel ones), hard to find table for 4 (mostly for 2). The gym is very small with 4 things in there. There is no filter water in the gym for staying hydration. Overall, not a great value for $200/night stay."

"The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was very polite and helpful. The best part about the hotel is the location. The view from the breakfast area is breathtaking! We had a pleasant stay and will probably go back."

"The service was wonderful and extra big thank you to people who were here for the summer season only! You made my stay great! Beds were very comfortable. Rooms could stand to be updated. I think the wall air conditioner needs work - there's a musty smell that was stronger when we ran the AC. Lake view is wonderful. They charge too much to use the kayaks, so we did not...thought it was included in the stay so that was a disappointment. Not a hotel for folks with limited mobility - no elevators, stairs all over the place. Breakfast was not bad - some good items - some room for improvement. Enjoyed the location just a little bit away from the downtown area."
