"I'm a first time mother. I had a bit of a unique birth experience. I went into labor at 36 weeks and progressed at a very fast rate. (Contractions began at 7:30am at home and my daughter was born at 9:59am) When my husband and I arrived I was already 8 cm dilated. Though my birth experience was extremely fast, the team that took care of me was so capable and kind. I felt like I was in good hands the whole way through. Our daughter being premature ended up being admitted to the NICU for 12 days. The nurses there were absolute angels. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to receive care here."
"Overall, I had a great birth experience at Bronson. The labor staff and providers were all wonderful, helpful, and encouraging. The postpartum nurses were okay. They charge you a flat rate for the nursery because they have to have a bed for your baby. Wish I had known this because we didn't use the nursery, but we were still charged. I also wish I had known they'd have you pump at the hospital. They charged me for a breast pump I couldn't take home but sent me with the tube and flanges that I could no longer use. I would have brought my haaka and breast pump if I knew I needed to pump. The room service was disappointing. I called to order food for my husband and I and was told you can only get 1 entree. I would understand if the room service was free, but I'm sure they charge for the food. It was inconvenient that you couldn't order food for yourself and a family member and that my husband had to go get us food."
"I’ve had all 3 of my babies here. 2 that are still with me and one angel baby. I have had the most amazing doctors and nurses that have taken their time to listen, help, and make every process as easy as they could. My nurses were my biggest hero’s ❤️"
"Would NOT recommend. Grandparents who are not in labor rooms are directed to leave waiting room "after hours" despite having been present and taking turns respectfully to help our momma-to-be from early morning Tuesday to 12:50 AM Wednesday. There were a total of 3 grandparents and the father present for momma-to-be. And since only 2 family members are allowed in labor room, one might wonder where grandparents go if not in a waiting room. You will be given no answer. Worse than that, you are further chastised by staff - questioned about expectant mother's plan of care and if not involved in care then expected to leave and more such behavior. So grandson was born just after leaving of course. Bronson needs help on figuring out actions that support family values. Perhaps Beacon Three Rivers Health with its awards-winning OB unit located just off 131 would be best to coach Bronson on core family values - so much more worth the 30-minute drive. Just say NO to Bronson."
"The nursing team is absolutely phenomenal... special shout out to Becky and Shannon, you both rock! Thanks to Dr. Taubel and the OR team...great job, my baby boy was born perfect and safe. Overall it was a great experience. My only concern is the social worker is flat and lacks compassion. The cafeteria food is definitely not the Ritz, but is designed to accommodate the entire hospital. I would suggest the chicken noodle soup which is very flavorful and the carrot cake was absolutely delicious. The parking needs improvement. It took us 20 minutes to find a spot. There isn't even enough spots for the employees. Otherwise I definitely would have given five stars. The nurses deserve more...thank you nurses! You are special kinds of people."
