"The entire intake process was a complete waste of time. I spent nearly 2hrs with the first meeting basically getting my entire background, history, diagnosis, etc... When I got to the follow-up psychiatrist the first thing he told me was he never reads the intake paperwork cuz he.wants to make his own 'unbiased' opinion (umm...then why did I waste over 2hrs, not to mention the gas, for that initial appt?) Basically, he didn't take me or anything I said seriously once I told him the regiment that works best with my condition included Ativan. Right then I became a drug seeker to him. If he had taken the time or had any interest in reading my history, he would have seen that I had documented prescriptions of low dose Ativan from respected doctors on & off over the last 15 years - which is not only a common medication prescribed for my condition but also one that works particularly well with me (most other options have a strong sedation effect on me) I explained all of this to him and said that if he insisted on trying something other than Ativan then please give me something with the least sedating effect. So what does he prescribe? Hydroxine - a straight up antihistamine (Benadryl is an antihistamine, nuf said) The pamphlet that came with it stated it's often used to "sedate patients prior to surgery" Needless to say, I have not followed up with any further appts of their treatment plan (which, btw, in total would have charged my state insurance nearly $10k!!) One final note, that doctor mentioned he has been practicing since before I was born in 1978 - I think his retirement is long past due"

"It's amazing that I'm still an active patient. I do all my appointments Telehealth. I see the psychiatrist for medications once every eight weeks, IF he logs in on time. Don't schedule early morning appointments because these people get to work when they feel like showing up. My case manager ghosted me many, many times. Almost every time we have an appointment, I have to call her supervisor to get her to call me. My previous psychiatrist ghosted me every time. My therapist hasn't responded to my texts to reschedule our appointment in 3 months. I was on a waiting list to speak with an Employment Specialist for over a year, then when I finally got an appointment, I had to reschedule and haven't heard from her in a few months either. It's like this place really doesn't need to be in business at all. It's really unprofessional that anyone should have to work this hard to get help with their mental health. It's enough to drive you insane."

"They do not know how to take any sort of accountability they completely put my 3 year olds services on hold because they could not be bothered to do their job and call to schedule an assessment for him that I didn’t even know he needed renewed yet I contacted the complaint hotline to see if there could be some sort of accountability taken other than “our system was messed up” and I was met with a completely condescending person that would not listen I can’t wait to find a different provider that will not be neglectful and will inform parents when their child’s assessment will be expiring"

"Like many of the facilities designed to assist those with mental illness, this place falls short. Although the staff has been polite, the case manager assigned to my loved one is incompetent and does not do a good job addressing the REAL needs that plague him. It does not help to be mentally ill and BLACK in the city of DETROIT. THERE IS NO HELP!"

"They cancelled my therapy in 2023 because I missed a couple of appointments. I did intake again last January and have been calling and calling for over 7 months and they keep promising someone will call me back. All the voicemails are full too so I’ve had to go in three times and still haven’t gotten any help."
