"My husband and I know that Dr Hailey is going to heal the world! She is the most incredible Dr we have ever witnessed. Conventional medicine has kept me deathly Ill for over 30 years. First time here and Doctor Hailey restored my health! I have not felt this good in my whole life. This is the best practice hands down! Nurse Darcy is incredible! Best nurse ever! So grateful for everyone here. We are indebted to you. The staff here is stellar from the front to the back! Thank you for what you are doing for the human race."
"Let it be known I tried 3x to call this place, left messages that went unreturned to clear this up prior to this google blast- I am so disgusted I felt a huge need to inform everyone. At first I couldn’t give this place enough stars; the nurses are wonderful human beings and the staff ASIDE from Dr Brownstein are wonderful. Their medical advice is top notch; now to the reality.. I have terminal stage cancer. I was receiving a discount (that my nurse came up with) on my treatments due to the amount of infusions I needed each week- mind you none of this is included in insurance. What was originally suggested for effective treatment with my medical case was $1200 a week out of pocket..even when I made 6 figures thats a stretch. I'm a 36 year old single parent with stage 4 cancer. Mid treatment meaning IV in my body on a saline and ozone drip - dr Brownstein sees my file and decides to let my nurse know to stop my discount no explanation to me from himself and cowardly has a nurse deliver the information- I now have to pay $380 as opposed to $170. Now I know more than anyone you have to have enough money to run the business or you won’t be in business. However, the gross lack of customer service or EMPATHY was astounding. The nurse was almost in tears and I was in shock- I didn’t think it was real at first- horrid customer service in health care of all things.. What should of been done was; “we will honor your discount this time, however moving forward this is the new price.” Dr Brownstein cares more about his bottom line then client retention and referrals of further business and that’s evident. Funny thing about running a business is if you treat your clients right you end up making more in the long run REGARDLESS of an initial loss. I’d suggest anywhere else."
"Overall, my care at Holistic Med was great. But recently I tried to call to get an appointment. I left a few messages. Someone finally called me back but somehow we got disconnected. I called right back and had to leave a message. Called another day and left another message. Called today... you gotta press 0. To my surprise someone answered. I didnt get an appointment because I would need to see someone new and pay $280 for 45 minutes when I dont need a 45 minute appointment. I feel like the person I would see should read my medical notes to become familiar with my case. I have one concern I would have liked to discuss... I know how things work... to truly get answers I'll be sent to get a blood test. Talking for 45 minutes will not get answers. I understand building rapport but not for $280 when I need a blood test. I cant believe the cost nor how long it took me to get in contact with someone at the office."
"I went to this clinic for 8 months and it was a huge disappointment. I was referred here because the doctors were highly rated in regulating thyroid function holistically. However, when I called to make an initial appointment, I was told that the doctors were all full but that they could get me in with a Physician's assistant who was just as good. Upon my first visit, I was impressed by the amount of testing that this clinic did, and that they were willing to attempt to balance my thyroid using holistic methods. The PA prescribed me daily supplements of iodine as well as other supplements, told me to clean up my diet, and return in 3 months after repeat labs. After starting the protocol given to me by the PA, I started feeling progressively worse- waking up in the middle of the night in pain, having insomnia, and overall severe muscle aches. Every time I called back or had repeat visits to the clinic, the PA either told me my body was 'detoxing', told me that I must not have cleaned up my diet, or radically switched my supplements and thyroid prescriptions. Every repeat lab that was done by the clinic, the thyroid levels looked worse, my antibodies were higher, and my blood sugar was spiking higher than ever. I was also in constant progressive pain that I wasn't in before I came to the clinic. This clinic is open only 30 hours/week, so it might take up to a week to get a return phone call from the staff. So I contacted my PCP (Primary Care Physician) to get a second opinion, and he told me that many times high amounts of iodine will destroy the thyroid, so no wonder why I'm in so much pain. He also suggested that I might need to see a practitioner with more training than a PA. I called back the Center for Holistic Medicine and asked if I could get a referral to an endocrinologist for a thorough exam. I was denied by the front desk to talk to the PA. They told me "well, they could refer you to a specialist, but they would give you medication and you don't want that." So I struggled with my aches and pains and repeated the labs, which showed my thyroid levels to be worse than when I started going there. My last phone call that I made to Center for Holistic Medicine to attempt to talk to the PA, I was directly transferred to a woman who told me she was the "business manager." She revealed that she was not a medical person, but went through my chart anyways and made medical judgements based on what she saw out of the notes. She wrongly accused me of not being consistent with "protocol," said that I cannot expect to get results where ever I go if I don't follow doctor's orders, and told me if I was not happy there, that I can go somewhere else. I was shocked. I asked the business manager if I could switch to one of the doctors in the clinic, because perhaps my case was too complicated for someone with only a physician's assistant's training to handle. She said it is against their business policy to switch practitioners in their clinic, and that the PA's are just as good because they shadow under the doctors before taking on patients. She also said that their clinic has patients flying in from all over the world and they have a world renown reputation. She then instructed me not to write a negative review online because that would damage their reputation. I am not sure if this business manager's commands were legal, but they were definitely not helpful. I should mention also that my own father was a medical doctor in the 1960's through the 1980's, and sometimes he didn't know when his front office staff caused him to lose patients. I can't speak for other's experiences at this clinic, only for myself, but this place was a dangerous place for me. I thought that holistic clinics were supposed to heal, but this place might be more interested in your money than your health. Be careful."
"My experience was actually with his PA Jennie Drummond who was my provider in the group. Initially she was thorough and comprehensive in explaining my plan of care and reviewing my labs. I was very disappointed when my hyperthyroid symptoms of heart racing and palpitations with shortness of breath returned and I had to deal with their weekend on call system. Dr. Ng wouldn't manage me because he was unfamiliar with my case. He indicated he would have Jennie call me back. After multiple additional texts and over 24 hours later Jennie called me without explaining the delay. She recommended some changes and ordered some additional labs. That was early November. She has yet to even call me to see what has happened and follow up with me. And as a Nurse Practitioner myself, I am totally disappointed with my experience. I would not recommend them. Patients want to feel cared about and definitely don't want to fall through the cracks."
