"He's personable and friendly. However, if you're in severe pain Do not go here. It will be a suffering contest for you and he will question your toughness when you need compassion. My pain was so neglected I left with permanent arrhythmia problems because he questioned other doctors diagnosis. There's a vast difference between exemplary medical care and being completely incompetent."
"I can't believe the negative post I have been reading. I have been going to Dr. King for about 8+ years. I was actually his 3rd patient when he started. I have NEVER been mistreated by him or his staff. I have seen several pain doctors over the past 20 years, and he is the ONLY one who taught me how to control my pain. I used to be on several pain meds, but now I take 1 and only as needed. Instead of the meds, he uses different procedures to help the pain. I have CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Sydrome), which is the most painful disease you can have. There is no cure. I get urine tests frequently, and if something shows up, they talk to me with care to see what supplement I may be taking to cause concern. I have referred several people to Dr. King and will continue. Thank you to Dr. King and his staff for always being kind and professional. I'd give you a 10 if I could."
"Have been seeing Dr King for 6-6.5 years now before he had his new office, he was the first doctor who actually listened to me when I talked about my pain, everyone else brushed it off saying I was too young to have pain or that I was making it up when I couldnt even go to the mall like a normal teenager without taking multiple pain meds to try and ease some of the pain. I later found out I have osteoarthritis in my lower spine and I had a herniated disk at the time... Radiofrequency ablation helped a lot for quite a few months, going in for another one tomorrow, excited to be pain free for a little bit again and return to normal activities without pain."
"I've been coming here for many years now. The original doctor, Dr. Culver, retired but the one that took over, Dr. King, is just as good. They treat you with kindness, dignity and respect. Only drawback is they moved the center from Flint to Fenton, and that can be an issue when you don't have your own transportation. The individual exam rooms are nice, but I don't like how they have the general waiting area in the back setup. Almost like an ER with little cubicles and curtains. Too easy for people to overhear what you may be discussing. Seems like a bit of a HIPAA issue to me. But overall I can safely say I won't go anywhere else. I was nervous when Dr. King took the center over, but he's great! And the staff is always on the ball. Dr. King had his own staff already, but the staff from Dr. Culver's office also went when the center moved to Fenton, and that was so helpful! It was very comforting to see them when I started going to the center once Dr. King took over. Is it perfect? No, what place is? But Dr. King is very helpful and knowledgeable and you won't get treated better anywhere else."
"I really don’t understand the bad reviews people are leaving. I came to Dr. King in a desperate attempt to get relief from years of pain. We worked on my hips and within 3 months my hip pain was gone, we are now starting on my back. lots or trial and error but I came from another pain specialist who only told me to “call if it gets worse.” This facility makes me feel listened to, which is very difficult now a days. Dr. King and his staff have been nothing but amazing, if only all doctors listened the way they do."
