"Dr. Holeman saw our daughter in the hospital when she was born 9 years ago and he has been truly the best doctor we could ask for since then. He is kind, encouraging, empathetic, and answers all questions or concerns with the utmost respect and attention no matter how small. As a registered nurse, I appreciate his evidence/research based approach and being up on the latest treatments and recommendations for any health topic. The office has a policy to call them first before taking a child to an urgent care or ER and you speak to the on call pediatrician during off hours. The office also has always accommodated my sick kids the same day and even very last minute when I once showed up with my child’s painful ear when the office opened for the day and they fit us in quickly as we were flying out of state that day. We have had Saturday sick kids appointments as well which is such a great option rather than going to an urgent care. I trust both of my kids with Dr. Holeman and can’t say enough good things about him. So thankful to have his as my kids Pediatrician the last 9 years."

"We saw Dr. Hoogstra for our 3 year old’s ear infection. Upon checking her out he said he couldn’t see one of her ear drums because there was too much wax buildup. He put her on antibiotics and said it would take care of itself. In the meantime she was very sick and barely sleeping. We ended up having to take her to urgent care a week later because she was getting worse. As it turned out, she had impacted earwax (which will not resolve itself) in that ear to the point that when they flushed it out, the wax had continued to grow into the almost spiral shape of the ear canal. She also had to go through a regimen of rocephin shots (which are extremely thick and painful) for 3 days because the infection had gotten so bad. Normally I wouldn’t say anything, but I work in healthcare and to me, this was a situation where the doctor was not thorough and as a result our daughter was needlessly miserable for over a week (between her pediatrician and urgent care visit). I don’t want this to happen in the future so we will be switching back to our previous pediatrician even though they are farther away. Here is a photo of what came out of her tiny ear, that Dr. Hoogstra deemed unnecessary to remove."

"The front desk team is very undertrained on understanding insurnace and how things work. They’re very behind on PCP changes within network. I came in with my daughter who was sick, and she was behind on her 4 year check up, they ended up doing it while I just wanted to see what’s wrong with her. The doctor doesn’t listen to your needs. One of doctors kept pushing vaccines on us, we aren’t against vaccines but we just didn’t have the time and my daughter was sick. It was so unprofessional and felt pushy."

"We absolutely love ABC Pediatrics! The front desk staff, the nurses, and the doctors are all incredible. We have two children who see Dr. Perry and she does a great job at asking questions and providing information for their development, as well as listening to all of my questions! Our youngest has a congenital heart defect, and Dr. Perry played a huge part in her neonatal development with Helen DeVos and her cardiologist. We really appreciate the availability for same day appointments if something comes up, and the on-call/after hours line. We had a situation a couple weeks ago where their team called us after hours to keep checking in to see how our little one was doing. Way above and beyond in our book, and made us feel they really cared about our little one's wellbeing. We've had appointments or after hour calls with just about every Pediatrician in the practice, and we know no matter who our children see, they are in great hands. Very thankful for the ABC Pediatrics team!"
