"I have worn glasses my entire life and spent more than my share of time in eye care centers. However, Charlevoix Eye Center has given me the best experience out of the many providers I have seen. Conveniently located near downtown Charlevoix, their staff has always provided prompt, kind service, always working with me and the various insurance providers I have carried. Repairs and maintenance have been consistently provided quickly, and with minimal cost, and best of all, Dr. Jon runs pretty tight to his schedule - no waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes to get your exam started. If you are looking for a provider who is professional, prompt, and courteous and accepts walk-ins, Charlevoix Eye Center is the best in the region, hands down."

"My children and I have been established patients for many years. I called and requested an annual vision exam for my 4 children. I spoke to Julie, who told me they wouldn’t see all my children on the same day “because people cancel.” I have never canceled, or been a no show. My dentist has no issue seeing them around the same time every 6 months for cleanings. Julie told me I would have to bring two kids one day and the other two a different day. I requested that they all be scheduled the same day. She told me she would call me back. I never received a call but continued to get postcards in the mail reminding me that they needed a vision exam. I called again today and a man answered the phone. After speaking at length, he told me that they could book them all, but would charge a $75 fee if one person didn’t come. I am fine with that but then they could not “fit four appointments in” for almost a month. I’m not trying to wait an additional month for eye exams that I called for over a month ago. As a business professional, I recognize the potential issues that come with booking 4 appointments but this policy is classist, unrealistic for big families with working parents, and inconsiderate with gas at $4.59 a gallon. Dr. Jon is nice but I’ll take my family someplace where we are actually welcome."

"The Doctor was very professional and through. I ordered glasses and sunglasses. When I picked them up they just handed them to me. Not only was the staff rude and unprofessional, but didn’t look at them to see if they needed adjusting. I called later to complain and asked the Doctor to call me. I haven’t heard from him. The Doctor contacted me and when I returned, he personally took the time to adjust both pair of glasses. I am now very satisfied with his service."
