"My father in law was admitted and treated here. He likes the food and the third shift nurses. The behavior of one of the second shift nurses was very concerning. She was moving too fast and moving around unnecessarily. Sniffing really loudly and fidgeting. We did not feel comfortable leaving him alone in her care. There was dried blood on the oxygen cuff for his finger and when I asked her about this her response was, “that’s not blood.” Which it clearly was. She was being so rough with his IVs. The overall experience with this nurse was very unsettling."
"I’m giving a 1 star review because there is no 0 star that I can give. I went to have a myelogram ct-scan ordered by my orthopedic doctor. The radiologist, Dr John Anastos was the doctor that would be injecting the contrast dye into my spinal canal before the ct-scan, which would highlight all the problems I have with spinal stenosis, and give much better results than a regular ct-scan. After many, many tries, and a lot of pain, he was unable to get the job done. I didn’t know that at the time and only found out that information later. But in spite of his inability to complete the procedure, I was still sent to get a regular ct-scan, which was not what my doctor had ordered. Of course, the regular ct-scan didn’t show anything that my orthopedic doctor didn’t already know. So, now Medicare was charged for his services, which essentially were NOT DONE and charged for a regular ct-scan which was NOT ORDERED. After I filed a complaint with the hospital, they said they would review the situation and put the charges on pause. They out and out lied to me because I checked with Medicare who advised me that they had already received the charges four days after the incorrect services that I received. Just how ethical is that whole scenario??? Now I need to get that procedure done again and I don’t know if Medicare will cover the charges again so soon. The hospital did offer to do the procedure again but I would not go back there for any reason."
"This is a trauma level 3 hospital. DO NOT bring anyone you care about here and tell the ambulance to take you else where. Absolutely worst hospital and staff I have ever interacted with. I work in the medical field myself and I understand things happen, but this was all around negligence. My sister went in via ambulance due to having a seizure and hitting her head along with shortness of breath. Protocol at our hospital is to do a CT brain scan or MRI stroke brain and a standard AP chest X-ray. The male nurse that handled her case claimed she complained nothing of the sort… but why else would she arrive by ambulance… When asked to speak to the charge nurse I was just told “she’s busy” and that was all. After telling him I would wait then he offered to take down my phone number for her to reach out to me. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I asked him, let’s say she “forgot to mention” her symptoms, if she walked back in then would she be properly evaluated. “I don’t know” was his response. After waiting and calling back to speak to the charge nurse I was forwarded to security. This was ridiculous. She never caused a scene or yelled at anyone and same goes for me. Even the security officer, Landon agreed that she was not being a disturbance, but was ordered to escort her outside because she was not going to be seen per hospital staff and his hands were tied. I’m a medical professional and I just can’t wrap my head around how a hospital can have such a low standard of care for their patients. I will find out the nurses names who handled her case and formally put in a RL-6, or whatever the equivalent to that at their hospital is."
"My wife had surgery here, so I accompanied her here. All the staff was friendly and kept me informed me on the status of the surgery. The pre-op and post op-rooms had their own bathroom and TVs, which is not found in most hospitals! The Our Lady of Fatima Chapel was also a great place to pray."
