"## THIS place knows what they are, and they do it GREAT! This is a Greasy Spoon type of joint. It's not fancy, it's basic...but they do BASIC TO PERFECTION. Food is cooked to order(believe me, i sat watching for an hour) and waitress staff is amazingly active. They don't let your food get cold, because as soon as it's up, they are running to your table to serve. Their prices are cheap, but if you go in with the right expectation, then this could become your family's favorite everyday eatery."

"Omg so we came here last year and it was great. I absolutely loved that we did not have to wait for an extended period of time. The decor was so cool. Very old school vintage soul to the place. The staff was super friendly and sweet. Definitely would like to come back next time we're in Kalamazoo. The food was super delicious we ordered so many different dishes, loved the biscuits and gravey as well as the cheese curds. Definitely highly recommend give these people all of your money it is well worth it!"

"My husband and I love this place! We love right in a nearby neighborhood and go here for breakfast quite frequently. It's got such a warm atmosphere, such a friendly team of people working there, and the food is tasty, quick to come out to you, and super affordable. Highly recommend!"

"First time at Poor Richard's! The fish aquarium was a cool feature that the kids loved looking at with large angelfish, tetras, a plecko, etc. The nautical decor was cool, especially all the model ships, the paintings, and fishing spear. Service was good when the waitresses came around. We sat for a long time with just coffee and water before someone came to take our order. However, once the order was placed, our food did not take long to come out. We came during breakfast time, so everyone ordered breakfast food. Everything was pretty good. The steak wasn't seasoned, so salt and pepper were added. Eggs were good, hash browns were good (could be a little crispier, but that is just a personal preference), pancakes, sausage, and bacon were a hit with the kids. In our family, when almost all the food ends up gone, it was good. :) One recommendation for them would be to create a kids menu for smaller portions since the younger ones struggled to eat all of it. Overall, a 4/5 and we would for sure go back sometime."
