"We frequent here as our go to for Hibachi. Today was not a good experience. We had a reservation for 9 made in advance. We show up and were told we had to join another couple due to only having 1 chef. 2 people in our party were basically at another hibachi grille. We paid a premium for a show we didn’t get to see. The chef seemed overwhelmed and grumpy. The food distribution was terrible. Whom ever gets food first, gets more. If you at the end of the line, like us sitting at the other table, the proportions were 1/2 of what the first people got. The shrimp was burnt. The veggies were burnt. The eggs were burnt. There was no show. Spin an egg, volcano onion, and it was over. This was a 15th birthday party and they didn’t do anything for birthday. Even display 1/2 birthday dinner then did not get that when the bill came. The only positive was the host/waitress. She was very good at her job. Also- they need to clean. Everything is sticky and dirty. Everywhere."
"I went here 2 years ago for my birthday and it was great, the sushi was great the hibachi, fantastic. I went this year for my birthday and unfortunately greatly disappointed, I'm not sure if they got new owners or what changed but the prices went up and the quality went WAY down. My brother ordered deep fried soft shelled crab and received essentially a chunk of breading and 2 large deep-fried carrots an onion ring and deep fried broccoli. For 11 dollars. While the "I'll never go here again" rhetoric is old and no one really cares about an individual not going nor do they take it personally, we do, Good place gone bad, what a shame."
"Again, this is another time where I wish Google allowed us to give 1/2 stars on ratings/reviews, because this experience was a 2.5-star experience. We totally overwhelmed this restaurant! We had a huge party reserved for my wife's birthday while we were in Elkhart for a swim meet for my daughter. I made a reservation for 12, but I had to change it to 25. They warned me that they were limited in the amount of Hibachi chefs they had, but I was willing to do it. I thought people would stagger their attendance because of the time lapse between events, which they did, however, we still overwhelmed them. They took forever to get water and drinks. I ordered a 300ml bottle or sake, but they poured the whole thing into one glass. The food was mediocre at best... The hibachi chef was actually the best thing about the meal. He was nice and funny, considering the work he had in front of him. They didn't even do a thing for my wife's birthday... Unfortunately, there are no other options for hibachi in Elkhart, you would need to drive to South Bend for any other choices."
"Honestly my Go-To almost every weekend now! Love the people there and the food! I'm always trying something new there, but my FAVORITE roll has to be the Kamikaze! Absolutely full of flavor!"
"This is just a basic average strip center restaurant. The hostess seemed fairly interested in whatever was on her phone rather than the patrons. The rice was gooey which made the fish on top seem kind of mushy, however the fish was reasonable quality. The miso soup was a disappointment, it had a funny vinegar sort of flavor and while I finished it I was hoping that it hadn't turned bad in the kitchen. For reference I travel both domestically and internationally around 100 nights per year eating all sorts of local foods. Next time I am in the area I will look elsewhere for sushi."
