"My first impression was that they care a great deal about the kids that go there until they made so many changes with the teaching staff halfway thru the school year. I feel like changing principal and staff should happen before students begin school year and not halfway thru the year. It was very difficult on my child. Also, I dislike that they dont elect a day to check all students for lice. If they are aware it is an ongoing issue, one would think to do an overall check and send all kids. home untill cleared. Of course give parents a "heads" up on the date and the chance their child might get sent home. All staff members should be checked as well. Also, raise money or use money out if the budget for the students uniforms if you plan on enforcing the school rules. They were so back n fourth on policy that as a parent I wasn't reinforcing the dress code."
"This school is so horrible my sister came back from school all bruised up saying that the teachers never do anything about the situation. I would not recommend going here at all unless you want teachers allowing your child to get hurt. The principal is useless, my mom and I went to talk to the principal and she did absolutely nothing. The wlrst part is the teachers are horrible my sister says she showed the teacher i think she said his name was Mr.Luke and he did absolutely nothing. Please dont take your child here it will be the worst decision you make."
"My child went to Roosevelt for a couple different grades. Ive NEVER had any problems, but then again Im involved in my childs day everyday, which some of you parents might try and do instead of ALWAYS blaming the damn teachers!!! Discipline yoyr children and start setting an example at home!!!"
"Horrible school they should not be teaching kids at all they are horrible they love to start problems tell me why my kid gets marked absent from school even though she goes but dose not when she dosent go like for real not to mention they do alot of yelling at kids it is not an evivornment for kids and the principle should be let go he dosent no what the hell he is doing he use to work for cps and the police force so he thinks he can call dcs on who ever he wants they treat my kid so bad there something needs to be done"
"Roosevelt is a very nice facility, having been built in the last ten years. It has a great set of teachers and a fantastic principal! It's nestled in a struggling community and offers rigorous programs for elementary children."
